30 Jahre Universität Potsdam

Das Referat für Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit hat anlässlich des 30-jährigen Universitätsjubiläums einen Bildband zusammengestellt. Auf 168 Seiten finden sich rund 400 Fotos aus der Geschichte der Potsdamer Alma Mater – von der Pressekonferenz, auf der Brandenburgs Wissenschaftsminister Dr. Hinrich Enderlein die Gründung der Universität bekannt gibt, bis zu den traurig-schönen menschenleeren Campusimpressionen Anfang 2021. Die Auswahl aus Zehntausenden Bildern, die im Laufe der Jahre entstanden sind, dokumentiert die rasante Entwicklung der drei Uni-Standorte Golm, Am Neuen Palais und Griebnitzsee, begleitet Studierende und Forschende verschiedener Generationen und zeigt Eindrücke von wichtigen großen und kleinen Veranstaltungen und Ereignissen sowie – vor allem – vom Alltag einer Universität.
Der Universitätscampus Golm

Westlich der Potsdamer Innenstadt liegt der Campus Golm, der größte Standort der Universität Potsdam. Die sehr verschiedenen Gebäude erzählen von den zahlreichen Institutionen, die im Laufe der Zeit auf dem Areal angesiedelt waren: Ab Mitte der 1930er Jahre befand sich hier die Walther-Wever-Kaserne, in der ab 1943 die Luftnachrichtenabteilung Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe untergebracht war. 1951 zog eine Ausbildungseinrichtung des Ministeriums für Staatssicherheit ein, die – unter verschiedenen Namen – bis 1989 bestand. Im Juli 1991 übernahm die neu gegründete Universität Potsdam die Liegenschaften, die heute Teil des Wissenschaftsparks Golm sind.
Das Buch führt durch die Geschichte des Standortes und lädt ein zu einem Spaziergang über den heutigen Campus der Universität. Mit über 110 Fotos und einem detaillierten Lageplan.
