Im Mittelpunkt der auf nationaler und internationaler Kooperation beruhenden Projektarbeit steht die Entwicklung, Evaluation und Implementation von webfähigen Multimedia- Anwendungen für die ökologische Grundbildung in pädagogischen Aufgabenfeldern (Studium, Unterricht, Jugendarbeit). Auf der Grundlage einer Weiterentwicklung der Theorie der kategorialen Bildung (Klafki) wird das Grundverhältnis von Mensch - Natur thematisiert. Dies erfolgt unter der Zielstellung, mit den Mitteln der Bildung dazu beizutragen, dass dieses Verhältnis nachhaltig in Richtung einer Allianz zwischen Mensch und Natur entwickelt wird. Hierzu wird die auf E. Bloch zurückgehende Triade (Naturzwang, Naturbeherrschung, Naturallianz) im Baustein thematisiert und in konkreten Lernprozessen entwickelt.
