In Zeiten von PISA-Vergleichsstudien sind die sozialen Probleme Jugendlicher im Zusammenhang mit der Globalisierung, insbesondere in Osteuropa, etwas aus dem Blick geraten. Rund 20 Jahre nach dem Systemumbruch in Mittel- und Osteuropa stellt sich jedoch die Frage, was Jugendliche in Polen, Russland und Deutschland vereint bzw. noch trennt. Dieser zentralen Frage geht der vorliegende Band – anhand eines Kulturvergleichs – in drei Länderbeiträgen nach und untersucht Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen den Jugendlichen hinsichtlich deren Einstellungen, Lebens- und Wertvorstellungen u. ä. Angesichts „unsicherer Zeiten“ ist davon auszugehen, dass die sozialen Probleme Jugendlicher auch künftig nicht geringer werden. Deshalb wird die Beobachtung, Analyse und Begleitung der Jugendentwicklung in Osteuropa eine wichtige Aufgabe bleiben – sowohl für Sozial- und Bildungsforscher als auch für Lehrer, Erzieher und Sozialarbeiter.
Am 24. und 25. Juni 2010 fand am Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Softwaresystemtechnik GmbH in Potsdam der 3. Deutsche IPv6 Gipfel 2010 statt, dessen Dokumentation der vorliegende technische Report dient. Als nationaler Arm des weltweiten IPv6-Forums fördert der Deutsche IPv6-Rat den Übergangsprozess zur neuen Internetgeneration und brachte in diesem Rahmen nationale und internationale Experten aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und öffentlicher Verwaltung zusammen, um Awareness für das Zukunftsthema IPv6 zu schaffen und um ein Resumé über die bislang erzielten Fortschritte zu ziehen. Die Grenzen des alten Internetprotokolls IPv4 sind in den vergangenen zwei Jahren deutlicher denn je zutage getreten. Waren im vergangenen Jahr anlässlich des 2. IPv6 Gipfels noch 11% aller zu vergebenden IPv4 Adressen verfügbar, ist diese Zahl mittlerweile auf nur noch 6% geschrumpft. Ehrengast war in diesem Jahr der „europäische Vater“ des Internets, Prof. Peter T. Kirstein vom University College London, dessen Hauptvortrag von weiteren Beiträgen hochrangiger Vertretern aus Politik, Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft ergänzt wurde.
Der vorliegende Band „Regionale Bedeutung von Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen - Das Beispiel Potsdam.“ gibt einen Einblick in die Ergebnisse eines Studienprojekts am Institut für Geographie der Universität Potsdam. Das Studienprojekt war eingebettet in das URBACT II Projekt RUnUP (Role of Universities in Urban Poles). Bei den unterschiedlichen Beiträgen stehen die vielfältigen Beziehungen zwischen Stadt/Politik, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft in der Region Potsdam im Mittelpunkt. Den theoretischen Bezug bildet dabei das Triple Helix Modell.

Die altägyptische Siedlung Bubastis (heute Tell Basta), die im südlichen Teil des östlichen Nildetltas gelegen ist, erlangte bereits im Alten Reich große Bedeutung und entwicklelte sich unter den Königen der 22. Dynastie, welche in dieser Stadt residierten und den Tempel der Stadtgöttin Bastet umfassend ausbauten, zur einflussreichsten Stadt des ägyptischen Deltas. Noch zu Herodots Zeiten war Bubastis für seinen großen Tempel und das alljäjhrlich zu Ehren der Göttin stattfindende Fest weithin berühmt. Die archäologische Erforschung von Tell Basta, die inzwischen mehr als ein Jahrhundert andauert, brachte zahlreiche Bauwerke hervor, die sowohl unter Fachleuten als auch interessierten Laien und Touristen auf großes Interesse stoßen. Allerdings gibt es zum Teil große Schwierigkeiten, an entsprechende Grabungsberichte zu gelangen, die recht verstreut publiziert sind. Der hier vorgelegte Band soll diesem Desiderat entgegenwirken, indem die Berichte und Publikationen über Tell Basta bis zum Jahre 1908 als Nachdruck vorgelegt und somit einem größeren Leserkreis zugänglich gemacht werden.
Der zweite Band der DIGAREC Series beinhaltet Beiträge der DIGAREC Lectures 2008/09 sowie des Wissenschaftsforums der Deutschen Gamestage 2008 und 2009. Mit Beiträgen von Oliver Castendyk (Erich Pommer Institut), Stephan Günzel mit Michael Liebe und Dieter Mersch (Universität Potsdam), Andreas Lange (Computerspielemuseum Berlin), Ingrid Möller mit Barbara Krahé (Universität Potsdam), Klaus Spieler (Institut für digitale interaktive Kultur Berlin), James Tobias (University of California, Riverside), Stefan Böhme (HBK Braunschweig), Robert Glashüttner (Wien), Sven Jöckel (Universität Erfurt) mit Leyla Dogruel (FU Berlin), Michael Mosel (Universität Marburg), Sebastian Quack (HTW Berlin), Leif Rumbke (Hamburg) und Steffen P. Walz (ETH Zürich).
Die Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen transkultureller Lernprozesse in der musikpädagogischen Forschung sowie die Vermittlung von Methoden interkulturellen Lernens in der Schule und der Musiklehrerausbildung spielen am Lehrstuhl Musikpädagogik und Musikdidaktik an der Universität Potsdam eine wichtige Rolle. Birgit Jank formuliert einige mögliche Strategien zur Bildung kultureller Identitäten sowie methodische Wege zum interkulturellen Lernen und weitet diese Betrachtungen auf das Feld zeitgeschichtlicher Dimensionen im Kontext einer Aufarbeitung der DDR-Musikerziehung und auf die Jüdische Musik als Gegenstand einer interkulturell gedachten Musikpädagogik aus. Wichtige Impulse haben diese Forschungen und Lehrangebote durch die mehrjährige Arbeit des Humboldt-Stipendiaten Herrn José A. Rodriguez-Quiles y Garcia am Lehrstuhl erhalten. Komparative Betrachtungen zur spanischen Musikpädagogik werden von ihm entwickelt, die den Modellfall Flamenco einschließen und ein eigenes Konzept von interkulturellen Lehrveranstaltungen hervorgebracht haben. Darüber hinaus kommen mit Tiago de Oliveira Pinto und Bernd Clausen Wissenschaftler zu Wort, die an der Universität Potsdam gelehrt oder sich wissenschaftlich in der Musikpädagogik qualifiziert haben. Diese Aufsätze werfen ein breites Spektrum interkulturellen Lernens auf, das vom Karneval der Kulturen in Berlin bis hin zu einer kritischen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Begriff der Kulturellen Vielfalt reicht.
