Wer über den Teufel spricht, setzt sich dem Verdacht aus, dass er das Böse aus dem Menschen heraus abstrahiert und auf eine mythologische Figur projiziert. Dennoch bleibt die Erfahrung, dass das Böse, das Menschen anrichten, grösser ist als das Böse, das sie beabsichtigen. Hier bietet sich die Rede vom Teufel an. Zu voreilig allerdings spricht die moderne Literatur vom Teufel als Personalisierung des Bösen. Das Besondere des Teufels liegt vielmehr darin, dass er kein personal adressierbares Wesen ist. Wie aber und das ist die kommunikationstheoretisch interessante Frage kann man mit einem Wesen sprechen, das zwar spricht und wie eine Person auftritt, das aber keine Person ist? Wie teilt sich das Böse/der Böse in menschlicher Kommunikation mit? Das ist das Thema dieses Bandes.
