Im vorliegenden Buch werden die Grundlagen der Förderung von Kindern mit bereichsübergreifenden Lernstörungen dargestellt. Im Blickfeld stehen zunächst die Charakterisierung der Zielgruppe (Definition, Klassifikation, Ursachen- und Entstehungsmodelle) und lern-lehrtheoretische Grundlagen. Den größten Raum nehmen die vorbereitende und begleitende Diagnostik und die Planung und Durchführung der Förderung ein. Die Ergebnisse eines mehrjährigen Forschungsprogramms des Autors tragen dazu bei zu erkennen, wenn Lernangebote bei einem Kind nicht erfolgreich sind, und ein Programm zu gestalten, die Lernentwicklung dieses Kindes voran bringt. Für die Diagnostik und den Förderunterricht, die Motivationsförderung und die Entwicklung der Lernfähigkeit finden sich zahlreiche erprobte Handlungsvorschläge. Die Publikation ist als Praxishandbuch und Anregung für die Reflexion und Weiterentwicklung der Förderkompetenz konzipiert.
