Instructions on PDF Creation from Open Office

From Open Office 3.0., you can export PDF files with PDF/A settings directly from the application.
"File" --> Export as PDF... --> under "General" choose "PDF/A-1" (Graphic options: optimised for JPEG compression, Quality: min. 90 %, resolution: not less than 300 dpi)
