F. E. Peters stellt in seiner Studie Überlegungen zur Idiomatik und Phraseologie des Plattdeutschen an, der Muttersprache des Schriftstellers. Er plädiert dafür, das Plattdeutsche in seiner Besonderheit und unabhängig von Vergleichen mit dem Hochdeutschen zu bewerten und zu würdigen. Kürze, Prägnanz, Anschaulichkeit und intuitive Treffsicherheit des Plattdeutschen werden hervorgehoben und anhand von Beispielen aus dem Alltag belegt. Peters unterstreicht die sich in dem Bewahren von Formeln ausdrückende „einfältige Sprachfrömmigkeit“ des Plattdeutschen, für ihn ein Zeichen junger und primitiverer Sprachen, gewissermaßen „Sprach-Marionetten“ im Kleistschen Sinn ausgestattet mit der Anmut des Unbewussten.
Was machen Verwaltungsmanager wirklich? : Explorative Ergebnisse eines Lehrforschungsprojekts

Dieses Sonderheft der Schriftenreihe des Lehrstuhls für Public Management präsentiert ausgewählte Ergebnisse eines Lehrforschungsprojektes. Dabei wurde in Anlehnung an Mintzbergs Managementforschung die Frage gestellt, wie Führungskräfte in der Verwaltung tatsächlich ihre Organisationen steuern. Das Sonderheft enthält die explorativen Befunde aus drei empirischen Studien, die von Teilnehmern und Teilnehmerinnen des Seminars durchgeführt wurden.
Mit dem Amtsantritt von Präsident Santos 2010 hat sich das politische Klima in Kolumbien spürbar verändert. Der ehemalige Verteidigungsminister Uribes distanziert sich von seinem einstigen Vorgesetzten: Außenpolitisch sucht Santos Kontakt zu den Nachbarstaaten, im Land selbst darf wieder über den bewaffneten Konflikt mit der Guerilla diskutiert werden. An der neoliberalen Wirtschaftspolitik hält jedoch auch Präsident Santos fest.
Japan in der Katastrophe

Die verheerenden Erdbeben im März dieses Jahres erschütterten nicht nur Japan, sie erschütterten die Welt. Das Reaktorunglück von Fukushima weckte düstere Erinnerungen an Tschernobyl. Wie geht das asiatische Land mit der Katastrophe um? Das Thema zeigt deutlich, dass die Krise noch lange nicht Überwunden ist. Weitere Themen: Europa macht die Eurokrise zu schaffen. Die deutschen Interessen werden in Berlin definiert, nicht in Washington oder Paris. Darin waren sich Angela Merkel und ihr Vorgänger schon 2003 einig. Und sie werden im Kanzleramt festgelegt, nicht auf Oppositionsbänken, in Thinktanks oder gar Talkshows. Da helfen auch mediale Empörungsinszenierungen nicht. Isolierungsängste belasten nur kleine Staaten. Die Zeiten kleiner Politik sind allerdings vorbei.
