Viewers for PDF Files
The software for displaying and printing PDF files is freely available. It can be installed as a plug-in for your browser and will start automatically when a PDF file is opened. In order to benefit from all the functions offered by the document, please make sure to run the latest version of your document viewer. In case of older versions, there may occur loss of information or display problems.
The current versions of document viewers can be downloaded from the following websites:
- Adobe Reader
- for Windows, Linux, MacOS
- Information on the PDF/A display mode: Files that conform to PDF/A are opened in PDF/A display mode by default. Useful navigation aids like linked cross references may not be available. To deactivate the PDF/A display mode, please make the following settings:
Edit --> Default Settings --> Documents --> PDF/A display mode --> open documents in PDF/ display mode: set to “never” - Ghostview
