Habilitation Degree Regulations of the Faculty of Science the submission of the electronic version counts as publication of the habilitation thesis. For digital archiving, it is necessary to submit the files in both the presentation format (e.g. as a PDF document) and the creation format (e.g. as a MS Word, OpenOffice.org Writer or LaTeX document). For more information, see File Formats. In addition to the electronic version, four print versions with permanent binding (glue binding, thermal binding, VeloBind or hard cover binding etc. - however no spiral binding!) have to be handed in as specimen copies.

Get yourself informed on form and time requirements for the submission of the specimen copies at the library.

The digital version of your thesis must be identical with the print version that was handed in as specimen copies after the aproval of the examination board/Habilitationsausschuss. After the registration of your thesis, we will add an additonal imprint page to the document.Hence, before printing the specimen copies, please wait until you receive the document proof from us.

If you want to publish a cumulative habilitation thesis on our repository, the second publication right for your thesis needs to be clarified beforehand. For detailed information on your publisher's conferral of second publication rights, check SHERPA/RoMEO database. For more information on publishing documents on our publication server/repository, check our legal aspects.

Even if your habilitation took place some time ago, it is still possible to publish your habilitation thesis as an e-book on our repository.
