Modern scholarship has often treated this as Stoic. Closer reading reveals that Quintus is, on the one hand, following the Homeric concept of double motivation, according to which humans can be motivated by a deity only to an act that conforms to their character and for which they are responsible. On the other hand, Quintus gives these statements on responsibility to characters who are trying to excuse their own acts to themselves and, particularly, to others, i.e. they are motivated contextually. It would be non-Stoic to excuse oneself for a bad deed by reference to an almighty fate. It seems that Quintus, by presenting this tension, wanted the reader to reconsider and reflect on the different concepts.}, language = {de} } @article{HerholcStolpe2019, author = {Herholc, Gloria and Stolpe, Franziska}, title = {Bertha's Channel}, series = {Postdamer Lateintage}, volume = {11}, journal = {Postdamer Lateintage}, publisher = {Universit{\"a}tsverlag Potsdam}, address = {Potsdam}, isbn = {978-3-86956-439-5}, issn = {1860-5206}, doi = {10.25932/publishup-42365}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:kobv:517-opus4-423652}, pages = {131 -- 147}, year = {2019}, language = {de} } @article{Ryndin2019, author = {Ryndin, Thilo}, title = {Ein Traum von Thrakien oder Wo ist die Fremde?}, series = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, volume = {11}, journal = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, publisher = {Universit{\"a}tsverlag Potsdam}, address = {Potsdam}, isbn = {978-3-86956-439-5}, issn = {1860-5206}, doi = {10.25932/publishup-42361}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:kobv:517-opus4-423611}, pages = {80 -- 99}, year = {2019}, language = {de} } @article{BecherHoerty2019, author = {Becher, Crischan and H{\"o}rty, Markus}, title = {Veni, vidi, falsi nuntii}, series = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, volume = {11}, journal = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, publisher = {Universit{\"a}tsverlag Potsdam}, address = {Potsdam}, isbn = {978-3-86956-439-5}, issn = {1860-5206}, doi = {10.25932/publishup-42362}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:kobv:517-opus4-423622}, pages = {100 -- 119}, year = {2019}, language = {de} } @article{Ludwig2019, author = {Ludwig, Viktoria}, title = {Roma patria et/aut loca externa}, series = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, volume = {11}, journal = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, publisher = {Universit{\"a}tsverlag Potsdam}, address = {Potsdam}, isbn = {978-3-86956-439-5}, issn = {1860-5206}, doi = {10.25932/publishup-42364}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:kobv:517-opus4-423642}, pages = {120 -- 130}, year = {2019}, language = {de} } @article{HoemkeForst2019, author = {H{\"o}mke, Nicola and Forst, Alexandra}, title = {Bericht zu www.BrAnD2}, series = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, volume = {11}, journal = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, publisher = {Universit{\"a}tsverlag Potsdam}, address = {Potsdam}, isbn = {978-3-86956-439-5}, issn = {1860-5206}, doi = {10.25932/publishup-42352}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:kobv:517-opus4-423524}, pages = {13 -- 20}, year = {2019}, language = {de} } @article{Tiersch2018, author = {Tiersch, Claudia}, title = {Raumwissen als Raumpolitik?}, series = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, journal = {Potsdamer Lateintage}, publisher = {Universit{\"a}tsverlag Potsdam}, address = {Potsdam}, url = {http://nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:kobv:517-opus4-416188}, pages = {19 -- 47}, year = {2018}, language = {de} } @book{HoemkeForstKloeckneretal.2019, author = {H{\"o}mke, Nicola and Forst, Alexandra and Kl{\"o}ckner, Anja and Kr{\"u}ssel, Hermann and Ryndin, Thilo and H{\"o}rty, Markus and Becher, Crischan and Ludwig, Viktoria and Herholc, Gloria and Stolpe, Franziska}, title = {www.BrAnD.2.Begegnung mit dem Fremden.
