Each direction has disadvantages ranging from the lack of computational power at the edge level to the reliance on stable network connections with the centralized approach. Thus, a hybrid approach with centralized and decentralized components that possess specific abilities and interact is preferred. However, the distribution of AI capabilities leads to problems in self-adapting learning systems, as knowledgebases can diverge when no central coordination is present. Edge components will specialize in distinctive patterns (overlearn), which hampers their adaptability for different cases. Therefore, this paper aims to present a concept for a distributed interchangeable knowledge base in CPPS. The approach is based on various AI components and concepts for each participating node. A service-oriented infrastructure allows a decentralized, loosely coupled architecture of the CPPS. By exchanging knowledge bases between nodes, the overall system should become more adaptive, as each node can "forget" their present specialization.}, language = {en} } @incollection{GronauWeberWanderetal.2022, author = {Gronau, Norbert and Weber, Edzard and Wander, Paul and Ullrich, Andr{\´e}}, title = {A regional remanufacturing network approach}, series = {Digitization of the work environment for sustainable production}, booktitle = {Digitization of the work environment for sustainable production}, editor = {Plapper, Peter}, publisher = {GITO Verlag}, address = {Berlin}, isbn = {978-3-95545-407-4}, doi = {10.30844/WGAB_2022_8}, pages = {145 -- 170}, year = {2022}, abstract = {Manufacturing companies still have relatively few points of contact with the circular economy. Especially, extending life time of whole products or parts via remanufacturing is an promising approach to reduce waste. However, necessary cost-efficient assessment of the condition of the individual parts is challenging and assessment procedures are technically complex (e.g., scanning and testing procedures). Furthermore, these assessment procedures are usually only available after the disassembly process has been completed. This is where conceptualization, data acquisition and simulation of remanufacturing processes can help. One major constraining aspect of remanufacturing is reducing logistic efforts, since these also have negative external effects on the environment. Thus regionalization is an additional but in the end consequential challenge for remanufacturing. Gemeinsam mit dem Lehrstuhl f{\"u}r Wirtschaftsinformatik und Electronic Government der Universit{\"a}t Potsdam hat acatech im Mai 2008 einen Workshop mit Vertretern aus Wirtschaft, Politik und Wissenschaft zum Umgang mit Wissen im interkulturellen Vergleich veranstaltet. Vor diesem Hintergrund entstand der acatech diskutiert-Band "Umgang mit Wissen im interkulturellen Vergleich - Beitr{\"a}ge aus Forschung und Unternehmenspraxis". Darin enthalten sind Beitr{\"a}ge, die u. a. danach fragen, welche wechselseitigen Beziehungen zwischen Technik und Kultur bestehen, inwieweit Experten- und Wissensnetzwerke als interkulturelles Instrument zum Umgang mit Wissen geeignet sind, wie Unternehmen ihre Mitarbeiter auf Auslandseins{\"a}tze und die Begegnung mit fremden Kulturen vorbereiten k{\"o}nnen und welche Rolle Kommunikation als Methode des Wissenstransfers spielt.}, language = {de} } @incollection{VladovaGronauRuedian2019, author = {Vladova, Gergana and Gronau, Norbert and R{\"u}dian, Sylvio Leo}, title = {Wissenstransfer in Bildung und Weiterbildung}, series = {Digitale Transformation - gutes Arbeiten und Qualifizierung aktiv gestalten}, booktitle = {Digitale Transformation - gutes Arbeiten und Qualifizierung aktiv gestalten}, publisher = {Gito}, address = {Berlin}, isbn = {978-3-95545-309-1}, pages = {89 -- 106}, year = {2019}, language = {de} } @incollection{VladovaUllrichBenderetal.2021, author = {Vladova, Gergana and Ullrich, Andr{\´e} and Bender, Benedict and Gronau, Norbert}, title = {Yes, we can (?)}, series = {Technology and innovation in learning, teaching and education : second international conference, TECH-EDU 2020, Vila Real, Portugal, December 2-4, 2020 : proceedings}, booktitle = {Technology and innovation in learning, teaching and education : second international conference, TECH-EDU 2020, Vila Real, Portugal, December 2-4, 2020 : proceedings}, editor = {Reis, Ars{\´e}nio and Barroso, Jo{\~a}o and Lopes, J. This has created opportunities to explore the potential and limitations of virtual learning formats. This paper presents four theses on virtual classroom teaching and learning that are discussed critically. We use existing theoretical insights extended by empirical evidence from a survey of more than 850 students on acceptance, expectations, and attitudes regarding the positive and negative aspects of virtual teaching. The survey responses were gathered from students at different universities during the first completely digital semester (Spring-Summer 2020) in Germany. We discuss similarities and differences between the subjects being studied and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of virtual teaching and learning. Against the background of existing theory and the gathered data, we emphasize the importance of social interaction, the combination of different learning formats, and thus context-sensitive hybrid learning as the learning form of the future.}, language = {en} }
