  abstract  = {Con ocasi{\´o}n de la 3ra entrega de su "Relation historique.." -Par{\´i}s de 1825- al reflexionar Humboldt sobre de lo que a mediano y largo plazo ser{\´i}a el futuro del nuevo orden mundial -todav{\´i}a entonces egoc{\´e}ntricamente reducido a Europa- una vez quedase consolidada la irreversible emancipaci{\´o}n pol{\´i}tica hispanoamericana, vaticin{\´o} que ser{\´i}a el conjunto de nuevos intereses y relaciones comerciales y financieras que surgir{\´i}an tras la plena emancipaci{\´o}n de los nuevos Estados americanos, las encargados de restablecer -y sobre todo ampliar- el equilibrio y la din{\´a}mica econ{\´o}mica y pol{\´i}tica entre el 'viejo' y 'nuevo' mundo.   abstract  = {Der Beitrag "Humboldteanisierung des Westens? Die Bedeutung der Reise Humboldts f{\"u}r Europa und Lateinamerika" behandelt der preußischen emprischen Universalgelehrten, in {\"U}bereinstimmung mit dem von Ottmar Ette entwickelten Konzept, als einen, wenn nicht den wichtigsten Begr{\"u}nder der westlichen Moderne. Im Gegensatz zu den bekannten Gr{\"u}ndern der Moderne (Descartes, Kant, Buffon, Schiller, Hegel, Marx ... etc.) war Humboldt Empiriker und Globaldenker und er tat dies auf transkulturelle Weise, manchmal auch schon auf interkulturelle Weise; allerdings meist auf Basis der r{\"o}misch-klassizistischen Denktradition und {\"A}sthetik Europas. Der Beitrag arbeitet drei Wissenstypen Humboldts heraus und versucht zu zeigen, dass der Universalismus Humboldt wichtige interkulturelle Grundlagen in der Kommunikation mit amerikanischen Gelehrten und im amerikanischen Empirismus ("lokales Wissen") hat. Die Bedeutung einer solchen Konzeption der Humboldt-Reise zeigt sich - in der Negierung - in den gegenw{\"a}rtigen Debatten um Diasporas und "Race" im atlantischen Westen ("Black Atlantic"). Humboldt Kenntnisse der amerikanischen Sklavereien und seine absolute Verurteilung der Sklaverei ist dabei nicht pr{\"a}sent. Im zweiten Teil zeigt der Beitrag m{\"o}gliche Lesarten der Humboldt-Tageb{\"u}cher, indem er "imagin{\"a}re Humboldt-Essays" konstruiert.},

  abstract  = {Obwohl Johann Gottfried Herder (1744-1803) im Unterschied zu Alexander von Humboldt nie in Lateinamerika war, regte er in seinen Arbeiten das lateinamerikanische und europ{\"a}ische Bewusstsein bei der Wahrnehmung anderer Kulturen an. {\"A}hnlich der amerikanischen Forschungsreise Alexander von Humboldts (1799-1804), die zu einer verst{\"a}rkten Aufnahme und Wirkung des philosophischen Denkens im europ{\"a}ischen und deutschsprachigen Kulturraum f{\"u}hrte, trugen Herders Ideen {\"u}ber den Zusammenhang zwischen Mensch, Natur, Kultur und Tradition zur lateinamerikanischen Rezeption und Transformation europ{\"a}ischen Denkens bei und zur Vermittlung humanistischer Wertorientierungen. In den Darlegungen werden in drei Schritten folgende Aspekte er{\"o}rtert. Erstens: Worin besteht das Wesen des Literatur- und Philosophiebegriffs bei Herder? But what makes some governments change course and move toward innovation? What triggers experimentation and, eventually, turns ordinary practice into good practice? The book answers some of these questions. It goes beyond a mere documentation of good and best practice, which is increasingly provided through international networks and Internet sites. Instead, it seeks a better understanding of the origins and fates of such successes at the micro level.
