N2  - Este artículo argumenta que "Las Memorias sobre las colonias españolas en América del Sur" supuestamente escritas por Alejandro de Humboldt en 1818 para la Conferencia de la Alianza Sagrada en Aix-la-Chapelle en realidad nunca existieron. Por esta razón no fueron el impedimento del esfuerzo de Humboldt por viajar a la India.
