In Adobe InDesign you can export PDF/X-compatible files directly from the application. Choose one of the standard PDF/X profiles under
"File" > "Adobe PDF presets" and save the document, book or range of pages. Furthermore, you have the possibility to preserve entries in tables of content and indices as well as interactive elements such as hyperlinks, bookmarks etc. Open the dialog box in the menu "File" > "Export" and choose the file format "Adobe PDF (interactive). Then save the document.
