• Der Aufsatz erschließt die Anfänge, Ergebnisse und Erfolge der editionsphilologischen Arbeit im laufenden Projekt des BBAW-Langzeitvorhabens „Alexander von Humboldt auf Reisen – Wissenschaft aus der Bewegung“ und gibt einen Überblick über die Zukünfte philologischen Arbeitens mit den Methoden der Digital Humanities. Dabei werden auch bibliophile Druckausgaben digitaler Publikationen und die kontinuierliche Öffentlichkeitsarbeit der Figur Alexander von Humboldts in den Blick genommen, was durch zahlreiche Vernetzungen zwischen Institutionen international gefördert und durch kontinuierliche Kooperationen insbesondere durch das neu gegründete Humboldt Center for Transdisciplinary Studies (HCTS) in China/Changsha erweitert wird. Diskutiert wird die wissenschaftliche Bedeutung der graphischen und visuellen Dimension des Humboldt’schen Archivs, die durch die digitale Aufbereitung des Materials Forscher:innen weltweit miteinander verbindet und neue Forschungskonzepte eröffnet.
• The article opens up the beginnings, results and successes of the philological work on the digital scholarly editions in the current project of the BBAW long-term project “Travelling Humboldt – Science on the Move” and gives an overview of the future of philological methods within the Digital Humanities. It focuses also on bibliophilic print editions of digital publications and the ongoing public relations work of Alexander von Humboldt’s figure, which is promoted internationally through numerous networks between institutions and expanded through ongoing collaborations, especially through the newly founded Humboldt Center for Transdisciplinary Studies (HCTS) in China/Changsha. The article discusses the scientific significance of the graphic and visual dimension of Humboldt’s archive, which connects researchers worldwide through the digital realization of the material and gives rise to new research concepts.
• El artículo expone los inicios, resultados y éxitos del trabajo filológico de edición en el proyecto actual de la BBAW “Humboldt Viajero – Ciencia en movimiento“. En ese contexto ofrece una visión general del futuro del trabajo filológico con los métodos de las Humanidades Digitales. También se prestará atención a las ediciones impresas bibliófilas de las publicaciones digitales y a las relaciones públicas de la figura de Alexander von Humboldt, que se promueve internacionalmente a través de numerosas redes entre instituciones y se amplía mediante colaboraciones continuas, especialmente a través del recién fundado Centro Humboldt de Estudios Transdisciplinarios (HCTS) en China/Changsha. Se debatirá la importancia académica de la dimensión gráfica y visual del archivo de Humboldt, que conecta a investigadores de todo el mundo a través del realización digital del material y abre nuevos conceptos de investigación.
