Die Sammlungen des Museums für Naturkunde Berlin (MfN) wuchsen während der Zeit der europäischen Kolonialexpansion stark an. Naturalien aus der ganzen Welt gelangten nach Berlin und gleichzeitig fand ein wissenschaftlicher Austausch zu denselben statt. Die Spuren dieser Objekte und der Korrespondenzen können im Archiv des Museums nachverfolgt werden. Heute gelten koloniale Kontexte weitestgehend als Unrechtskontexte, deren Aufarbeitung gefordert wird. Um Provenienzforschung betreiben zu können, ist es daher unerlässlich, dass Museen und Archive ihre Sammlungen offenlegen (soweit rechtlich und ethisch möglich) und Außenstehenden den Zugriff ermöglichen. Im Rahmen dieser Masterarbeit soll der respektvolle Umgang mit Archivgut aus kolonialen Kontexten kritisch reflektiert und Handlungsfelder für einen kulturell angemessenen Umgang mit sensiblen Inhalten aufgezeigt werden. Konkret beziehen sich die Handlungsoptionen auf Archivgut aus kolonialen Kontexten mit Bezug zu Australien. Dabei werden Provenienzforschung, Sensibilität, Mehrsprachigkeit, indigenes kulturelles Wissen (ICIP) sowie Plattform- und Schnittstellenoptionen für die Vernetzung von Daten und Inhalten bedacht. Ziel ist es, vor dem Hintergrund der Archive als Orte kulturellen Gedächtnisses den Umgang mit Archivgut aus kolonialen Kontexten zu reflektieren. N2 - Archives have the task of protecting and saving knowledge and making it accessible. The collections of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (MfN) grew heavily during the time of the European colonial expansion. Natural objects from all over the world came to Berlin in this context. At the same time, the involved people corresponded with each other about these objects. The traces of the objects and their correspondences are held in the museum’s archive. Colonial contexts are today considered contexts of injustice and their history needs to be addressed. To make provenance research possible, museums and archives have to open up their collections and records (as far as ethically and lawfully possible) to the interested public. Respectful ways of dealing with archival material from colonial contexts will be critically reflected in this master’s thesis. Furthermore, options for appropriate ways of handling culturally sensitive material shall be discussed. These options refer to objects and content from Australian colonial contexts. Provenance research, sensitive content, language, Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), data portals and interfaces are the topics considered for action and reflection. The aim of this paper is to reflect ways of dealing with archival material from colonial contexts with the role of archives as institutions of cultural memory in mind. In Germany, educational programs that target heritage languages are scarce. It is therefore of interest whether children with a heritage language background can benefit from a bilingual program targeting their heritage language. In this paper, we report data on the lexical skills of Italian heritage children in two educational contexts, bilingual Italian-German kindergartens and a bilingual Italian-German elementary school. We examine (1) developmental trajectories of children's lexical skills in German and Italian, (2) differences between noun and verb development, (3) differences between lexical production and comprehenand Italian, kindergarteners showed balanced receptive vocabulary skills. By contrast, elementary school-children had a larger German than Italian vocabulary. Both groups demonstrated a clear dominance of nouns over verbs. While school children already performed at ceiling in German at the end of first grade, across the school years, their Italian vocabulary increased, nouns in particular. Focus has been extensively studied in Yucatec, yet the incompatibility of object fronting and progressive aspect in Yucatec Maya remains understudied. Both our experimental results and our corpus study point in the direction that this incompatibility may very well be categorical. Theoretically, we take a progressive reading to be derived from an imperfectivity operator in combination with a singular operator, and we propose that this singular operator implicates the negation of event plurality, leading to an exhaustive interpretation which ranks below corrective focus on a contrastive focus scale. This means that, in a sentence with object focus fronting, the use of the marked auxiliary táan (as opposed to the more general k) would trigger two contrastive foci, which would be an unlikely and probably dispreferred speech act. In the afterword, translated here into German, translator Gao Hong familiarizes Chinese readers with the characteristics of Humboldt՚s “description of the world,” which presents natural phenomena in their interrelationships and their connection with the universe as a whole. Gao Hong describes her own journey in Humboldt՚s footsteps and her fascination with this nature painting, which also meets the highest aesthetic standards and is designed to promote awe towards the cosmos. Transmitting the “geometric beauty” of this language is a particular challenge because the flowing, pictorial structure of Chinese is almost contrary to the strict regulations of German. As a translator you have to move freely between the two worlds. It argues that some marked forms differ from unmarked forms in that they encode modal evaluations of the at-issue meaning. Two epistemic evaluations that can be shown to be encoded by intonation in Spanish are obviousness and mirativity, which present the at-issue meaning as expected and unexpected, respectively. An empirical investigation via a production experiment finds that they are associated with distinct intonational features under constant focus scope, with stances of (dis)agreement showing an impact on obvious declaratives. Wh-exclamatives are found not to differ significantly in intonational marking from neutral declaratives, showing that they need not be miratives. Moreover, we find that intonational marking on different discourse particles in natural dialogue correlates with their meaning contribution without being fully determined by it. In part, these findings quantitatively confirm previous qualitative findings on the meaning of intonational configurations in Madrid Spanish. But they also add new insights on the role intonation plays in the negotiation of commitments and expectations between interlocutors. Theoretical approaches to travel writing are used to decipher the mythical structure underlying the description of the journey to the lagoon city. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf der Schul- und/oder Erstsprache Deutsch sowie der ersten Fremdsprache Englisch, wobei auch andere auftretende Sprachen in die Untersuchung einbezogen werden. Die Arbeit leistet einen Beitrag zum fachdidaktischen Diskurs bezüglich mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktischer Inhalte in Fremdsprachenlehrwerken. Darüber hinaus kann sie Lehrkräften aufzeigen, wie diese aktuellen Lehrwerke ihren mehrsprachigkeitsorientierten Unterricht begleiten können. Die Einleitung betont die Relevanz der Sprachvernetzung für den Fremdsprachenunterricht, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die individuelle Mehrsprachigkeit der Schüler*innen. Es wird auf das Potenzial des interlingualen Transfers hingewiesen, das u. a. in einer Lernerleichterung sowie der Förderung der Sprachbewusstheit und der Sprachlernbewusstheit besteht. In Kapitel 2 werden die theoretischen Grundlagen für die Analyse gelegt, indem Mehrsprachigkeit und Mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktik, Sprachvernetzung und ihr Potenzial näher betrachtet werden. Zudem wird anhand des Deutschen und Englischen aufgezeigt, welches sprachliche Transferpotenzial im Anfangsunterricht Französisch eingebracht werden könnte. Auch die Bedingungen dafür, dass Schüler*innen den interlingualen Transfer in ihrem Spracherwerb einsetzen, werden besprochen. Kapitel 3 gibt einen Überblick über den Forschungsstand zu Sprachvernetzung und Mehrsprachigkeit in Fremdsprachenlehrwerken und identifiziert die Forschungslücke, die diese Arbeit zu schließen versucht. In Kapitel 4 werden die Forschungsfrage und ihre Unterfragen formuliert, die untersuchten Lehrwerke beschrieben und die Auswahl der Lehrwerke und der untersuchten Lehrwerkskomponenten begründet. Zudem wird die Methodik der vergleichenden Lehrwerkanalyse erläutert. Die Ergebnisse der Analyse werden in Kapitel 5 ausführlich dargestellt. Es wird aufgezeigt, welche sprachvernetzenden Inhalte in den jeweiligen Lehrwerken vorkommen – in welcher Form und unter Einbezug welcher Sprachen und sprachlichen Ebenen. In Kapitel 6 werden die Ergebnisse diskutiert und analysiert, wobei auf die Mehrsprachigkeitskonzepte der Lehrwerke und die Trends bei den sprachvernetzenden Inhalten eingegangen wird. Im abschließenden Kapitel 7 wird zusammenfassend betont, dass beide Lehrwerke viele sprachvernetzende Inhalte anbieten, die das Potenzial haben, mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktisches Arbeiten zu unterstützen. Insbesondere auf der Produktionsebene werden jedoch noch zu wenige Transferprozesse initiiert. Zudem wird aufgezeigt, welche weiteren Untersuchungen ergänzend möglich sind, z. N2 - This master's thesis examines the extent to which the latest German textbooks for secondary school French, Découvertes 1 (Klett) and À plus 1 (Cornelsen), published in 2020, use language-linking content to refer to or draw on previously learned languages and earlier language acquisition processes. The focus is on the school and/or first language German and the first foreign language English. However, other emerging languages are also included in the study. The study contributes to the didactic discourse on multilingual didactic content in foreign language textbooks. It can also show teachers how these current textbooks can support their multilingual teaching. The introduction emphasizes the relevance of language linking for foreign language teaching, especially with regard to students' individual plurilingualism. It points out the potential of interlingual transfer, which includes facilitating learning and promoting language awareness and language learning awareness. Chapter 2 lays the theoretical foundations for the analysis by taking a closer look at pluri- and multilingualism and multilingual didactics, language linking and its potential. In addition, German and English are used to illustrate the potential for interlingual transfer that could be introduced in the teaching of French to beginners. The conditions for students to use interlingual transfer in their language acquisition are also discussed. Chapter 3 provides an overview of the current state of research on language linking and plurilingualism in foreign language textbooks and identifies the research gap that this thesis seeks to fill. Chapter 4 formulates the research question and its sub-questions, describes the textbooks studied and justifies the selection of the textbooks and the textbook components to be analyzed. The methodology of the comparative textbook analysis is explained. The results of the analysis are presented in detail in Chapter 5. It is shown which language-related content occurs in the respective textbooks – in which form and including which languages and linguistic levels. Chapter 6 discusses and analyzes the results, focusing on the textbooks' approaches to plurilingualism and trends found in the language-linking content. In the concluding chapter 7, it is summarized that both textbooks offer a lot of language-linking content that has the potential to support multilingual didactic teaching. However, too few transfer processes are initiated, especially at the production level. In addition, it is shown which further studies are possible, e.g. with regard to the use of language-linking content in the classroom. However, for Classical French, there is a lack of research on related phenomena. In our contribution, we present two recently constructed corpora covering the period of Classical French, sermo and apwcf. We present these corpora in terms of their genre characteristics on a communicative-functional and socio-pragmatic level. Based on the observation that, both in sermo and apwcf, dsas frequently occur together with terms of address, we analyse and manually code a sample based on this co-occurrence, and we compare the results with regard to special features in the individual corpora. The emerging patterns show a clear correspondence between socio-pragmatic factors and the linguistic means used to realise dsas. We propose that these results can be interpreted as signs of an underlying "grammar of authority".
