N2  - In Goethes privater Bibliothek im Goethehaus in Weimar ist Alexander von Humboldt mehrfach vertreten: durch persönlich übersandte Bücher, durch Broschüren und Grafiken. Einige dieser Publikationen Humboldts tragen handschriftliche Widmungen. Die Anmerkungen Goethes, seine Bearbeitungsspuren, die Bemerkungen im Tagebuch und nicht zuletzt der Briefwechsel geben Aufschluss über eine komplizierte Beziehung, die von Wohlwollen und von wissenschaftlichem Interesse an der Arbeit des anderen geprägt war, im Alter aber, insbesondere bei Humboldt, spürbar distanzierter wurde. Erstmals werden in diesem Beitrag alle handschriftlichen Widmungen Humboldts an Goethe abgebildet und die Publikationen Humboldts in Goethes Bibliothek in einen wissenschaftshistorischen und lebensgeschichtlichen Kontext gestellt.
N2  - Goethe’s private library at his residence in Weimar contains many traces of Alexander von Humboldt: personally submitted books, booklets, and graphics. Some of these publications bear handwritten dedications by Humboldt. Goethe’s commentaries, his tool marks, the remarks in the diaries, and not least the correspondence provide information about a complicated relationship that was shaped by shared scientific interests and mutual esteem. Only in later years this relationship deteriorated. In this contribution all handwritten dedications to Goethe are presented for the first time. Humboldt’s publications at the library are discussed in the context of history of sciences and biography.
N2  - En la biblioteca privada de la residencia Goethe en Weimar se encuentran múltiples huellas de Alejandro de Humboldt: libros enviados personalmente, folletines y láminas. Algunas de estas publicaciones incluyen dedicatorias manuscritas por Humboldt. Los comentarios de Goethe, la traza de sus apuntes en los diarios y también la correspondencia nos informan sobre una relación complicada entre el interés científico y la cortesía. Apenas en los años finales diminuye esta relación. En esta contribución, todas las dedicatorias manuscritas a Goethe se presentan por primera vez. Las publicaciones de Humboldt en la biblioteca se discuten en un contexto biográfico así como desde la historia de ciencias.
