N2  - Im Aufsatz wird die These erörtert, dass Bildung auch im Zeitalter wissenschaftlich-technischer Revolutionen zuvörderst "Befähigung zur Freiheit" ist. Ausgehend von Kant und Hegel, Marx, Liebknecht, Gramsci und Duncker wird das "Prinzip Freiheit" zerfällt in das "Prinzip des Selbst", das "Prinzip der Kompetenz", das "Prinzip der Antizipation" und das "Prinzip der Partizipation", deren Synthese wiederum in das "Prinzip der Humanität" mündet. Der philosophische Ansatz verweist auf eine Reformbedürftigkeit sozialistischer Bildung unter den Bedingungen des wissenschaftlich-technischen Fortschritts.

N2  - Socio-political studies in mathematics education often touch complex fields of interaction between education, mathematics and the political. In this paper I present a Foucault-based framework for socio-political studies in mathematics education which may guide research in that area. In order to show the potential of such a framework, I discuss the potential and limits of Marxian ideology critique, present existing Foucault-based research on socio-political aspects of mathematics education, develop my framework and show its use in an outline of a study on socio-political aspects of calculation in the mathematics classroom.

N2  - The paper argues that non-circulating tokens should be used as an alternative to money in a socialist economy. These tokens would be used to distribute consumer products out of socialised production to individual consumers. Like modern fiat money, these tokens are a kind of IOU. But unlike money, these tokens are not intended to facilitate the private exchange of commodities. Marx’s proposal to eventually abolish a token-based lower phase of communism in favour of a distinct higher phase is rejected because the ‘needs principle’ of the higher phase can be sufficiently realised within the token system. It is further shown that the prices of items should not be tied to the socially necessary labour time needed to produce them. Instead, prices should be regulated towards market clearing rates.
