  abstract  = {Dieser Beitrag pr{\"a}sentiert die epistemischen Ver{\"a}nderungen, die von der Entdeckungsreise zur Forschungsreise f{\"u}hrten, im Lichte jener Auseinandersetzungen, die als „Berliner Debatte um die Neue Welt" ber{\"u}hmt wurden. Alexander von Humboldt bemerkte und beschrieb um die Wende zum 19. Jahrhundert eine fundamentale Epochenschwelle, die er im Vorwort zu seinen Vues des Cordill{\`e}res et Monumens des Peuples Indig{\`e}nes de l'Am{\´e}rique als eine „gl{\"u}ckliche Revolution" bezeichnete. Diese Revolution schloss f{\"u}r Humboldt auch die Tatsache mit ein, die Aufkl{\"a}rung nicht als eine rein europ{\"a}ische, sondern als eine transatlantische und weltumspannende philosophische Bewegung zu verstehen.},

  abstract  = {Humboldtian science aims at an empirically supported transdisciplinary and at the same time transareal development of a world consciousness. In the development of this world consciousness, not only Europe and the Americas, but also Central Asia and especially China play an important role. The Humboldt Center for Transdisciplinary Studies (HCTS) in Changsha, is attempting to address the fact that China has been largely left out of international Humboldt studies and that Alexander von Humboldt was intensively engaged with Central Asia and China for decades. Therefore, the Humboldt Center in Changsha sets itself the goal of expanding Humboldt Studies to include this important aspect, to stimulate and coordinate special research work, and to build scientific and cultural bridges between Germany and China, Europe and Asia.},

  abstract  = {Pride is linked to conviviality, to the practice of life-with-an-other, and to an awareness of the limitations of the life forms and life norms which guide and regulate the life of culturally, socially, and historically defined communities. Assuming this link, pride in living-together and conviviality appear as concepts creating a framework for future perspectives. But these concepts need a space in which they can unfold critically and confidently with a view to the future. For millennia, the literatures of the world have created this space of simulation and experimentation in which knowledge of how-to-live-with-an-other has been put down on paper through the open-ended tradition of writing. It is the space of the life forms and life norms of conviviality: it offers us prospective knowledge for the future by translating the imaginable into the thinkable, and the readable into the livable.},

  abstract  = {Der Aufsatz erschließt die Anf{\"a}nge, Ergebnisse und Erfolge der editionsphilologischen Arbeit im laufenden Projekt des BBAW-Langzeitvorhabens „Alexander von Humboldt auf Reisen - Wissenschaft aus der Bewegung" und gibt einen {\"U}berblick {\"u}ber die Zuk{\"u}nfte philologischen Arbeitens mit den Methoden der Digital Humanities. Dabei werden auch bibliophile Druckausgaben digitaler Publikationen und die kontinuierliche {\"O}ffentlichkeitsarbeit der Figur Alexander von Humboldts in den Blick genommen, was durch zahlreiche Vernetzungen zwischen Institutionen international gef{\"o}rdert und durch kontinuierliche Kooperationen insbesondere durch das neu gegr{\"u}ndete Humboldt Center for Transdisciplinary Studies (HCTS) in China/Changsha erweitert wird. Diskutiert wird die wissenschaftliche Bedeutung der graphischen und visuellen Dimension des Humboldt'schen Archivs, die durch die digitale Aufbereitung des Materials Forscher:innen weltweit miteinander verbindet und neue Forschungskonzepte er{\"o}ffnet.},
