Adem{\´a}s, a partir del estudio comparativo de algunos elementos arquitect{\´o}nicos emblem{\´a}ticos como son los palacios, los puentes y, sobre todo, la conformaci{\´o}n laber{\´i}ntica, se muestran las peculiaridades de la representaci{\´o}n de Venecia en obras de Julieta Campos, Alejo Carpentier, Julio Cort{\´a}zar, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Thomas Mann y Sergio Pitol. Con ello se busca, primeramente, visibilizar el papel de Venecia en la literatura latinoamericana y, segundo, ofrecer nuevas claves de lectura a obras que han sido ampliamente estudiadas, mas no en una confrontaci{\´o}n transareal.},

  abstract  = {Ram{\´o}n Campos was very much influenced by the sensationist views current in French linguistic theory and developed these further, even to the point of drawing radical conclusions. In his opinion, abstraction is solely possible by using words. According to his ideas, articulated spoken language is the essential prerequisite for higher thought processes. Furthermore, the adjectives which name characteristics are derived from nouns. Memory and the formation of general ideas are the result of the "gift of the word" and by no means are actions of the human mind. Sign language, which was accepted in French linguistic theory as a precursor of spoken language, is not enough for carrying out abstractions. The tendency of thought to concretise contributes to the dissemination of abstractions. No dependent or referential word can be understood as the original word. He also developed these ideas in his treatise De la desigualdad personal en la sociedad civil ('On personal inequality in civil society'), where they became the basis of a new ethics of communication. This paper intends to explore the concept of the "gift of the word", which according to Campos is the only instrument of abstraction and analysis. Applying this concept, human thought can be divided into two capacities or powers: imagination and memory.},

  abstract  = {In 1797 a rather short work appeared in Paris in two volumes, under the title Pasigraphie in both its French and German versions. The author, Joseph de Maimieux (1753-1820), is said to have coined the term pasigraphie. With the invention of pasigraphy, Maimieux pursued the goal of creating a conceptually based writing system that could be applied to all languages. In this way, a text written in this script could be read in all languages. The pasigraphic system is based on an a priori system of conceptual classification to which written characters are assigned. It is therefore initially an exclusively written language, on which Maimieux two years later also built a spoken language with the Pasilalie. The first arguments against the endeavour represented by the Pasigraphie were brought forward by Maimieux' immediate contemporaries, the ideologues. These objections were re-affirmed in particular by Johann Severin Vater. The decisive difference between Maimieux and his critics lies in the determination of the role of signs in the formation of concepts. While for Maimieux the signs only name the finished concepts, his critics argued that signs have a function in the constitution of the concepts. A universal language is therefore ultimately not possible, since there are no universal concepts and the individual languages lead to different conceptual structures.},

  abstract  = {This thesis constitutes a multidisciplinary study of the central sector of the Santa B{\´a}rbara System geological province, the tectonically active broken foreland of the central Andes of north-western Argentina. The study is based on a tectono-geomorphic characterization combined with a variety of geophysical and structural studies. The principal focus was on the faulted piedmont regions of the Sierra de La Candelaria and, to a lesser degree, the extreme south of the intermontane Met{\´a}n basin. The study region is located in the border area between the provinces of Salta and Tucum{\´a}n. The main objective was to characterize and analyze evidence of Quaternary tectonic activity in the region, in order to increase the available information on neotectonic structures and their seismogenic potential. To this end, several methods were applied and integrated, such as the interpretation of seismic reflection lines, the creation of structural sections and kinematic modeling, as well as near-surface geophysical methods, in order to explore the geometry of faults observed at the surface and to assess the behavior of potential blind faults. In a first step, a geomorphic and structural survey of the study area was carried out using LANDSAT and SENTINEL 2 multispectral satellite images, which allowed to recognize different levels of Quaternary alluvial fans and fluvial terraces that are important strain markers in the field. In a second step, different morphometric indexes were determined from digital elevation models (DEM) and combined with field observations; it was possible to identify evidence of tectonic deformation related to four neotectonic faults. In a third step, three structures (Arias, El Quemado and Copo Quile faults) were selected for more detailed studies involving Electrical Resistive Tomography (ERT) and Seismic Refraction Tomography (SRT). This part of the study enabled me to define the geometry of faults at depth, helped to infer geometric and kinematic characteristics, and confirmed the extent of recent deformation. The Arias and El Quemado faults were interpreted as reverse faults related to layer-parallel, flexuralslip faulting, while the Copo Quile fault was interpreted as a blind reverse fault. Subsequently, a joint interpretation of seismic reflection lines and well-logs from the Choromoro and Met{\´a}n basins was carried out, to decipher the principal structures and their influence on the deformation of the different sedimentary units in the intermontane basins. The obtained information was integrated into a kinematic model. This model suggests that the recent deformation is driven by a blind, deep-seated reverse fault, located under the Sierra de La Candelaria and Cantero anticline. The corresponding shortening involves the sedimentary strata of the Salta and Or{\´a}n groups in the adjacent basins, which was accommodated by faults that moved along stratal boundaries, thus bending and folding the Quaternary deposits at the surface. The kinematic model enabled identifying the approximate location of the important detachment horizons that control the overall crustal deformation style in this region. The shallowest detachment horizon is located at 4 km depth and controls deformation in a thin-skinned manner. In addition, the horizon of the thick-skinned style of deformation was identified at 21 km depth. Finally, from the integration of all the results obtained, the seismogenic potential of the faults in the study area was evaluated. The first-order faults that control deformation in the area are responsible for the large earthquakes. While, Quaternary flexural-slip faults affecting only the sedimentary cover are secondary structures that accommodate deformation and were activated very low magnitude earthquakes and/or aseismic movements. In conclusion, the results of this study allow to demonstrate that the regional fault system of intrabasinal faults in the Santa B{\´a}rbara System constitutes a potential seismogenic source in the region, where numerous towns and extensive civilian infrastructure are located. In addition, the derived kinematic model requires the existence of numerous blind structures. Only for a small number of these their presence can be unambiguously detected at the surface by geomorphic analysis, which emphasizes the need of conducting this type of studies in tectonically active regions such as the Santa B{\´a}rbara System.},

  abstract  = {The eastern flank of the southern Central Andes in north-western Argentina (NWA) is characterized by fault-bounded mountain ranges arranged in a thick-skinned active contractional orogen with a non-systematic spatiotemporal pattern of tectonic activity. This pattern is represented by instrumentally recorded crustal seismic activity as well as the distribution of Quaternary deformation phenomena along the Eastern Cordillera and the Santa B{\´a}rbara System morphotectonic provinces, creating a wide (> 200km) deformation zone that lacks a clear deformation front. The study of the neotectonic activity in this region has become more detailed over the past years and has involved morphotectonic analysis, remote sensing, geodesy, and field-based structural studies. Lacustrine deposits in the intermontane basins of the Eastern Cordillera that are exposed in areas associated with Quaternary faulting - due to their original horizontality of the fine-grained layers, are excellent strain markers to assess neotectonic activity. I analyzed lacustrine deposits that outcrop in the central area of the Calchaqu{\´i} valleys (Cafayate sector) to understand how deformation is accommodated in one of the largest intermontane basins of the tectonically active orogen. The strike of the Quaternary structures in the studied area is parallel to subparallel to the valley-bounding faults. With the stratigraphic, morphotectonic and structural study of the lacustrine deposits, I identified a minimum of five deformation episodes that affected the Quaternary stratigraphic section. Based on this I present Late Pleistocene minimum and maximum shortening rates for the central Calchaqu{\´i} intermontane valley that range between 0,19-4,47 mm/yr, respectively. The rates presented are based on balanced geological cross sections and geochronological ages obtained in this study as well as compilations from previously published studies. In order to compare the local shortening results at regional and different temporal scales, I additionally compiled Global Positioning System data from northwest Argentina to generate a surface-velocitiy profile. The results reveal a gradual decrease in horizontal surface velocities from the Eastern Cordillera toward the foreland, indicating tectonic activity in the interior of the orogen, which is recorded by seismic activity and the wide distribution of Quaternary faults and folds. In addition to the neotectonic investigation carried out in the study area, the stratigraphic analysis of the lacustrine deposits allowed to have a better understanding of the Quaternary basin evolution of the central area of the Calchaqu{\´i} valleys. At least seven distinct lacustrine deposits could be identified that correspond to an impoundment of the fluvial system and ensuing base-level changes, resulting in successive aggradation and subsequent erosion events. Together with a hydrological model previously published for the study area, the maximum elevations that the paleolakes reached were furthermore reviewed and compared with regional paleoclimate data to allow local climatic inferences. The results of this thesis are a significant contribution to our understanding of the Quaternary tectonic and the stratigraphic evolution of the central sector of the Calchaqu{\´i} valleys.   abstract  = {En los {\´u}ltimos a{\~n}os, la cr{\´i}tica ha vuelto a enfatizar el v{\´i}nculo de la escritura gongorina la {\´e}pica y los subg{\´e}neros denominados "heroicos" (Mercedes Blanco, Jes{\´u}s Ponce C{\´a}rdenas). Esta nueva perspectiva significa un cambio importante respecto a la recepci{\´o}n del poeta instaurada por la Generaci{\´o}n del 27 y en particular por D{\´a}maso Alonso. Limit{\´a}ndose a las Soledades de G{\´o}ngora, el presente art{\´i}culo explora las consecuencias de este nuevo paradigma, m{\´a}s all{\´a} de un G{\´o}ngora puramente l{\´i}rico. Metodol{\´o}gicamente, proponemos dejar atr{\´a}s la dial{\´e}ctica idealista o marxista de forma-contenido (la ideolog{\´i}a de la forma de Fredric Jameson), por considerarla un enfoque anacr{\´o}nico en el caso de G{\´o}ngora. Sin embargo, encontramos un acercamiento filol{\´o}gico viable en el compromiso de la forma del temprano Barthes, que trata de esquivar la dial{\´e}ctica de forma-contenido y volver a un gesto de escritura ({\´e}criture). La hip{\´o}tesis del presente art{\´i}culo ser{\´i}a, pues, que no se ha reflexionado suficientemente sobre el gesto de la escritura gongorina en las Soledades: una escritura que piratea el lenguaje {\´e}pico.},

Adem{\´a}s de las repercusiones territoriales y medioambientales, la pr{\´a}ctica tur{\´i}stica deja su huella en la cultura, la sociodemograf{\´i}a y la identidad de los destinos tur{\´i}sticos. Este trabajo aborda la relaci{\´o}n entre el turismo y el multiling{\"u}ismo, comparando el litoral del estado de Quintana Roo, en la pen{\´i}nsula de Yucat{\´a}n, M{\´e}xico, con la isla de Mallorca. Nuestro objetivo principal es identificar tanto los puntos en com{\´u}n como las diferencias entre las dos regiones en el marco de los aspectos socioling{\"u}{\´i}sticos mencionados anteriormente. Esto nos permitir{\´a} distinguir las din{\´a}micas ling{\"u}{\´i}sticas regionales relacionadas con el turismo, por un lado, de aquellas din{\´a}micas que operan a nivel global o transatl{\´a}ntico, por el otro.   abstract  = {Hate speech has become a widespread phenomenon, however, it remains largely unclear why adolescents engage in it and which factors are associated with their motivations for perpetrating hate speech. To this end, we developed the multidimensional "Motivations for Hate Speech Perpetration Scale" (MHATE) and evaluated the psychometric properties. We also explored the associations between social norms and adolescents' motivations for hate speech perpetration. The sample consisted of 346 adolescents from Switzerland (54.6\% boys; Mage=14; SD=0.96) who reported engagement in hate speech as perpetrators. The analyses revealed good psychometric properties for the MHATE, including good internal consistency. The most frequently endorsed subscale was revenge, followed by ideology, group conformity, status enhancement, exhilaration, and power. The results also showed that descriptive norms and peer pressure were related to a wide range of different motivations for perpetrating hate speech. Injunctive norms, however, were only associated with power. In conclusion, findings indicate that hate speech fulfills various functions. We argue that knowing the specific motivations that underlie hate speech could help us derive individually tailored prevention strategies (e.g., anger management, promoting an inclusive classroom climate). Furthermore, we suggest that practitioners working in the field of hate speech prevention give special attention to social norms surrounding adolescents.},

  abstract  = {La siguiente investigaci{\´o}n aborda la relaci{\´o}n entre mito y modernidad en la obra literaria (poemas, cuentos, novelas y cr{\´o}nicas) del autor chileno Rosamel del Valle (Curacav{\´i}, 1901 - Santiago de Chile, 1965). En sus distintos textos existe una tensi{\´o}n entre un proyecto po{\´e}tico basado en una visi{\´o}n m{\´i}tica del mundo y un contexto hist{\´o}rico que privilegia posturas m{\´a}s racionalistas, relegando lo po{\´e}tico y lo m{\´i}tico. Ya en el siglo XIX la modernidad y los fen{\´o}menos asociados de la modernizaci{\´o}n producen el desplazamiento de la poes{\´i}a como discurso y del poeta como persona a una situaci{\´o}n deficitaria dentro de la sociedad, lo que se extiende en el siglo XX. Debido a este conflicto Rosamel del Valle cuestiona en su obra los alcances de sus propios postulados, tanto est{\´e}ticos como vitales. Esto conlleva una vacilaci{\´o}n entre la reafirmaci{\´o}n de su proyecto po{\´e}tico-vital y la consciencia del fracaso. Es por esto que la obra del poeta chileno contiene un Lebenswissen, que concibe a la poes{\´i}a como una forma privilegiada de vida. Sin embargo, debido a las dificultades de las condiciones hist{\´o}ricas es posible entender este Lebenswissen tambi{\´e}n como un {\"U}berLebenswissen (Ette). En la primera parte del texto se estudia la concepci{\´o}n m{\´i}tica de la poes{\´i}a de del Valle y se analiza los distintos niveles en los que aparece el mito en su obra literaria: como pensamiento, como lenguaje y como narraci{\´o}n tradicional. La identificaci{\´o}n de la poes{\´i}a como mito muestra las principales caracter{\´i}sticas de la po{\´e}tica de del Valle: una concepci{\´o}n ontol{\´o}gica que diferencia entre una dimensi{\´o}n visible y otra invisible de la realidad; la tendencia m{\´i}stica de la poes{\´i}a; una concepci{\´o}n c{\´i}clica del tiempo que funda una relaci{\´o}n con los discursos de la memoria y de la muerte, as{\´i} como la idea de un pasado ut{\´o}pico que por medio de la poes{\´i}a podr{\´i}a revivir en el presente; adem{\´a}s de la figura de la mujer c{\´o}mo s{\´i}mbolo del amor y de la poes{\´i}a. En la segunda parte se investiga la relaci{\´o}n y las consecuencias de esta "poes{\´i}a m{\´i}tica" en el contexto de la modernidad. Se aborda especialmente el efecto en la po{\´e}tica de Rosamel del Valle de la Entzauberung der Welt (Weber), como experiencia espec{\´i}fica de la {\´e}poca. Para esto se destaca ante todo sus impresiones sobre Nueva York. Esta ciudad en la que vivi{\´o} y trabaj{\´o} entre 1946 y 1963, se transforma en sus textos en un lugar en el que ser{\´i}a posible el "habitar po{\´e}tico del hombre" en la modernidad.},
