  abstract  = {This article presents the synthesis of thymol blue as a student experiment together with suitable augmented reality (AR) learning materials. In addition, the theoretical background on the synthesis of thymol blue and its pH-dependent structure-property relationship is discussed with regards to recent findings. Furthermore, experiences with the experiment in school and university lab-trainings as well as in teacher trainings are reported.},
