  abstract  = {W pracy został przedstawiony innowacyjny spos{\´o}b patrzenia na Europę Wschodnią, widoczny w tw{\´o}rczości Andrzeja Stasiuka odbiegający od klasycznego, czyli "r{\´o}wnoleżnikowego" widzenia tej części kontynentu w odwiecznej konfrontacji i nieustannych por{\´o}wnań z Zachodem. Tw{\´o}rczość tego artysty skupia się na zaniedbanym ,,pasie południowym". 1. Stan badań Tw{\´o}rczość pisarza cieszy się ogromną popularnością w kraju i za granicą. Krytyka literacka z wielką uwagą śledzi kolejno pojawiające się dzieła, niemniej jednak do tej pory stan badań jest stosunkowo niewielki. Nie powstało żadne kompendium wiedzy o wczesnej tw{\´o}rczości pisarza czy monograficzne opracowanie obejmujące ten sam okres tw{\´o}rczości artysty. Do tej pory uwaga krytyki i badaczy zwr{\´o}cona została gł{\´o}wnie na pierwsze utwory powstałe w latach dziewięćdziesiątych. 2. Cel pracy Gł{\´o}wnym celem dysertacji była analiza tw{\´o}rczości Stasiuka w odniesieniu do zagadnień i problem{\´o}w obecnych w filozofii i estetyce takich jak: kategoria piękna i brzydoty w ujęciu ontologicznym, metafizycznym i epistemologicznym, badanie wybranych utwor{\´o}w w kontekście niekonwencjonalnej autobiografii artystycznej, jak r{\´o}wnież nawiązanie do mityzacji Europy Wschodniej z odwołaniem się do prozy Brunona Schulza. Utworami łączącymi te zagadnienia ujmując chronologicznie są: „Opowieści galicyjskie"(1995), „Dukla"(1997), „Dziennik okrętowy"(2000), „Jadąc do Babadag"(2004). Teksty te łączy wsp{\´o}lny kontekst estetyczny, autobiograficzny, mityczny. 3. Podział i budowa pracy Niniejsza praca składa się z trzech części: pierwszej - „Estetyka brzydoty", drugiej - „Homo geographicus Fascynacja geografią w kontekście autobiograficznym" stanowiącą pomost między kontekstem estetycznym i mitycznym oraz trzeciej: „Mityzacja Europy Wschodniej. Inspiracja Schulzem". 4. Uwagi końcowe W zamykających na koniec wnioskach i uwagach warto podkreślić, że w pracy zostały poddane analizie problemy omijane przez wielu badaczy. Celem dysertacji było przedstawienie tw{\´o}rczości tego pisarza w niepodejmowanych do tej pory obszarach tematycznych. Spojrzenie na przedstawioną rzeczywistość i jej zjawiska tym razem w aspekcie estetycznym i mitycznym pozwoliły w zupełnie inny spos{\´o}b spojrzeć na wybrane utwory Andrzeja Stasiuka.},

  abstract  = {This article addresses problems of authorship and creative authority in popular music, in particular in view of a pervasive split between modes of aesthetic production (involving modernist assemblage, multiple authorship, and the late capitalist logic of major label policies) and modes of aesthetic reception (which tend to take popular music as the organic output of individual performers). While rock musicians have attempted to come to terms with this phenomenon by either performing a 'Romantic' sense of authenticity (basically by importing folk values to the production process) or 'Modernist authenticity' (by highlighting experimen- tation and alienation), Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, creators of Gorillaz, found a third way which ingeniously allows them to do both. By creating a virtual rock band, and by hiding their own media personalities behind those of their virtual alter egos, they brought themselves into a position which allows them to produce 'sincere' popular music which 'playfully' stages the absurdities of major label music business while very successfully operating within its very confines.},

  abstract  = {It has recently been demonstrated that the presentation of a rare target in a visual oddball paradigm induces a prolonged inhibition of microsaccades. In the field of electrophysiology, the amplitude of the P300 component in event-related potentials (ERP) has been shown to be sensitive to the stimulus category (target vs. non target) of the eliciting stimulus, its overall probability, and the preceding stimulus sequence. In the present study we further specify the functional underpinnings of the prolonged microsaccadic inhibition in the visual oddball task, showing that the stimulus category, the frequency of a stimulus and the preceding stimulus sequence influence microsaccade rate. Furthermore, by co-recording ERPs and eye-movements, we were able to demonstrate that, despite being largely sensitive to the same experimental manipulation, the amplitude of P300 and the microsaccadic inhibition predict each other very weakly, and thus constitute two independent measures of the brain's response to rare targets in the visual oddball paradigm.},

C'est de cette ambigu{\"i}t{\´e} que na{\^i}t l'objet d'{\´e}tude, les constructions asynd{\´e}tiques, au statut incertain entre int{\´e}gration et ind{\´e}pendance. Dans cette th{\`e}se, nous proposons de r{\´e}interroger ce ph{\´e}nom{\`e}ne ancien et d{\´e}j{\`a} bien connu en ancien fran{\c{c}}ais, en le mettant en regard des remises en question et avanc{\´e}es des recherches actuelles sur le sujet. Pour cela, il nous faut tout d'abord poser une d{\´e}finition de ce qu'est la subordination. Nous montrons ensuite que les constructions asynd{\´e}tiques sont bien des cas de subordination. Cette th{\`e}se {\´e}tablit enfin que ce ph{\´e}nom{\`e}ne constitue, en ancien fran{\c{c}}ais du moins, une variante libre en syntaxe. Sa r{\´e}partition et sa pr{\´e}sence dans les textes a cependant tr{\`e}s t{\^o}t diminu{\´e}, mais l'existence de ph{\´e}nom{\`e}nes parall{\`e}les en fran{\c{c}}ais moderne, tout comme d'autres indices, nous permettent de faire l'hypoth{\`e}se que cette {\´e}volution tient d'une alternance oral / {\´e}crit. Cette th{\`e}se montre ainsi que les probl{\`e}mes, comme les enjeux, ne diff{\`e}rent finalement pas, quel que soit l'{\´e}tat de langue et que la parataxe constitue bien une construction dans le syst{\`e}me de la langue.},

  abstract  = {Covert shifts of attention are usually reflected in RT differences between responses to valid and invalid cues in the Posner spatial attention task. Such inferences about covert shifts of attention do not control for microsaccades in the cue target interval. We analyzed the effects of microsaccade orientation on RTs in four conditions, crossing peripheral visual and auditory cues with peripheral visual and auditory discrimination targets. Reaction time was generally faster on trials without microsaccades in the cue-target interval. If microsaccades occurred, the target-location congruency of the last microsaccade in the cuetarget interval interacted in a complex way with cue validity. For valid visual cues, irrespective of whether the discrimination target was visual or auditory, target-congruent microsaccades delayed RT. For invalid cues, target-incongruent microsaccades facilitated RTs for visual target discrimination, but delayed RT for auditory target discrimination. No reliable effects on RT were associated with auditory cues or with the first microsaccade in the cue-target interval. We discuss theoretical implications on the relation about spatial attention and oculomotor processes.},

  abstract  = {We examined individual differences in masked repetition priming by re-analyzing item-level response-time (RT) data from three experiments. Using a linear mixed model (LMM) with subjects and items specified as crossed random factors, the originally reported priming and word-frequency effects were recovered. In the same LMM, we estimated parameters describing the distributions of these effects across subjects. Subjects' frequency and priming effects correlated positively with each other and negatively with mean RT. These correlation estimates, however, emerged only with a reciprocal transformation of RT (i.e., -1/RT), justified on the basis of distributional analyses. Different correlations, some with opposite sign, were obtained (1) for untransformed or logarithmic RTs or (2) when correlations were computed using within-subject analyses. We discuss the relevance of the new results for accounts of masked priming, implications of applying RT transformations, and the use of LMMs as a tool for the joint analysis of experimental effects and associated individual differences.},

  abstract  = {Microsaccades are very small, involuntary flicks in eye position that occur on average once or twice per second during attempted visual fixation. Microsaccades give rise to EMG eye muscle spikes that can distort the spectrum of the scalp EEG and mimic increases in gamma band power. Here we demonstrate that microsaccades are also accompanied by genuine and sizeable cortical activity, manifested in the EEG. In three experiments, high-resolution eye movements were corecorded with the EEG: during sustained fixation of checkerboard and face stimuli and in a standard visual oddball task that required the counting of target stimuli. Results show that microsaccades as small as 0.15° generate a field potential over occipital cortex and midcentral scalp sites 100 -140 ms after movement onset, which resembles the visual lambda response evoked by larger voluntary saccades. This challenges the standard assumption of human brain imaging studies that saccade-related brain activity is precluded by fixation, even when fully complied with. Instead, additional cortical potentials from microsaccades were present in 86\% of the oddball task trials and of similar amplitude as the visual response to stimulus onset. Furthermore, microsaccade probability varied systematically according to the proportion of target stimuli in the oddball task, causing modulations of late stimulus-locked event-related potential (ERP) components. Microsaccades present an unrecognized source of visual brain signal that is of interest for vision research and may have influenced the data of many ERP and neuroimaging studies.},

  abstract  = {Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht am Beispiel der Stadtstaaten Berlin und Hamburg konkrete Handlungsoptionen des strategischen Personalmanagements angesichts unausgewogener Altersstrukturen in der Landesverwaltung unter den Rahmenbedingungen des {\"o}ffentlichen Dienstes. Vor dem Hintergrund einer abnehmenden Erwerbsbev{\"o}lkerung und der sinkenden Attraktivit{\"a}t des {\"o}ffentlichen Dienstes als Arbeitgeber wird das Thema „Personal" als die Schl{\"u}sselressource f{\"u}r die Leistungsf{\"a}higkeit der deutschen Verwaltung identifiziert. Die Untersuchung zeigt auf, wie eine absehbare {\"U}beralterung des Personalk{\"o}rpers die Leistungserbringung der {\"o}ffentlichen Verwaltung beeintr{\"a}chtigen wird. Sie weist nach, dass sich beide Stadtstaaten bereits heute mit punktuellem Fachkr{\"a}ftemangel in technischen und Spezialisten-Berufen, aber auch bei Lehren und {\"A}rzten, konfrontiert sehen. Diese Herausforderungen werden sich durch massive Altersabg{\"a}nge ab dem Jahr 2015 und eine Alterung des bleibenden Personalk{\"o}rpers noch erheblich verst{\"a}rken. Die Untersuchungsergebnisse zeigen jedoch, dass die hamburgische Verwaltung, aufbauend auf einer langen Modernisierungshistorie und erleichtert durch Akteurszentralismus und eine ressort{\"u}bergreifend abgestimmte quantitative und qualitative Personalbedarfsplanung, {\"u}ber einen gut institutionalisierten und gelebten Strategiekreislauf verf{\"u}gt. Dies l{\"a}sst den Schluss zu, dass die Hansestadt mit ihrem strategischen Personalmanagement gut f{\"u}r die Bew{\"a}ltigung der demografischen Herausforderungen aufgestellt ist. Dagegen wird beleuchtet, wie der Umgang mit dem Thema Personal in Berlin noch immer von chronischen Sparzw{\"a}ngen und einem Pluralismus der Akteure gepr{\"a}gt ist. Die daraus resultierende, haupts{\"a}chlich quantitativ agierende Personalwirtschaft und das Fehlen einer auch nur mittelfristigen Personalstrategie werfen erhebliche Bedenken bez{\"u}glich der zuk{\"u}nftigen Leistungsf{\"a}higkeit der Berliner Verwaltung auf.},
