The data set comprises 16,610 bills between 1990 and 2020. After a description of the data, we provide illustrative insights into the patterns of law-making. It is shown that these patterns are dominated by the new dualism between government and opposition. Furthermore, the incentives of issue competition are clearly present in the legislative initiatives. There is no evidence, however, for the expectation that intracoalitional policy distance prolongs the duration of legislative procedures. The published data provides scholars with the opportunity to investigate various additional research questions.}, language = {de} } @misc{Stecker2009, author = {Stecker, Christian}, title = {Gschwend, T., Schimmelfennig, F. It finds evidence that the strategic calculus behind RCV-requests is a crucial predictor for unity scores. The requesting party group is on average significantly more united than its parliamentary competitors. It also shows that government status, thin governmental majorities and a growing ideological distance between government and opposition increase unity. Electoral incentives, however, do not seem to influence voting behavior in the German Lander.}, language = {de} } @phdthesis{GanghofStecker2009, author = {Ganghof, Steffen and Stecker, Christian}, title = {Das institutionelle Design parlamentarischer Demokratien : zum Zusammenspiel von Wahl- und Gesetzessystemen}, isbn = {978- 3-531-15297-4}, year = {2009}, language = {de} }
