  abstract  = {Sugar amino acids (SAAs) are carbohydrate derivatives bearing both amino and carboxylic acid functional groups. SAAs represent an important class of multifunctional building blocks, which are amenable to serve as glycomimetics or peptidomimetics with well-defined structures and useful properties. Because SAAs exist in nature in many forms with various biological activities, recently, many unnatural SAAs, as the demand for finding new molecules to discover new drugs and new materials, have been designed and synthesized by a number of research groups. In this paper, we have developed a convenient method for the synthesis of novel SAAs gluco-7 and galacto-7 for the first time. The structure of gluco-7 was similar to the natural SAA glucosaminuronic acid that was a component of many typical bacterial cell walls and could be used for the preparation of type D flu vaccine; while galacto-7 was similar to the natural SAA galactosaminuronic acid that was one of bacterial Vi-antigen components of Escherichia coli. Starting from unexpensive and commercially available 3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-D-glucal and 3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-D-galactal, two novel SAAs gluco-7 and galacto-7 were achieved in the linear 6 steps with 34\% overall yield and 19\% overall yield, respectively. The key reactions included radical addition, decarboxylation, iodine generation reaction, azide reaction and reductive amination reaction. The crucial step was the synthesis of the target compound gluco-7 from gluco-6. By using method A, the target compound gluco-7 was obtained in 4 steps with 63\% overall yield. To optimize the transformation from gluco-6 to gluco-7, method B was developed to generate gluco-7 by using one-pot reaction successfully with 76\% yield only in one step. It proved that method B was superior to method A with shorter steps and higher yields. All the new compounds were characterized by IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and HRMS data. Study on the synthesis and biological evaluation of linear and cyclic oligomers derived from gluco-7 and galacto-7 are currently in progress.},

  abstract  = {Application areas and drugs of Egyptian, Greek and Roman medi-cine are popular references of research in the field of recent aes-thetic dermatology. There, Cleopatra VII is referred to as "mother of chemical peeling" because she is said to have bathed in donkey's milk. Although extremely popular, there is no ancient source sup-porting Cleopatra's bath in milk. Nevertheless, Poppaea Sabina, the second wife of Emperor Nero, is said to has bathed in donkey's milk to beautify her skin. The aim of the paper is to reconstruct the genesis and develop-ment of the modern myth of Cleopatra bathing in donkey's milk. The origin of this myth can be traced back to the cinema of the 1930s. The result is that in the person of the actress Claudette Colbert her two roles as Cleopatra and Poppaea converged. This convergence was the basis for the popularization of the milk bath by the Cleopat-ra movie of 1963 with Elizabeth Taylor.},

  abstract  = {Given the immense ethnic and cultural diversity as well as the vast geographical dimensions of the Roman Empire, the teaching of Roman antiquity comprises an enormous potential to deal with the increasing heterogeneity in German-speaking classrooms. This article aims to show how the majority of contemporaneous Latin textbooks, however, fail to use this potential by being limited to mono-perspective and Eurocentric approaches to the ancient world. In spite of didactical claims to foster students' intercultural competence, most of the textbooks depict the city of Rome as an ethnically and culturally homogeneous sphere. At the same time, they present the Roman Empire nearly exclusively from the perspective of representatives of Italian-born, powerful upper-class families firmly connected to 'Roman' culture. In doing so, the Latin textbooks falsify the ancient historical realities and deprive students of the perspectives of figures like provincials or slaves. Furthermore, the textbooks' narrative scope clearly focusses on Rome and Greece, still paying noticeable attention to West-European provinces, with the African and Asian ones being remarkably excluded. Only few exceptions among the textbooks apply alternative approaches which allow students to engage with the Roman Empire's intercultural dynamics in a more differentiated and multi-perspective way.},

  abstract  = {Brandenburg startete im Schuljahr 2012/2013 das Pilotprojekt „Inklusive Grundschule" (PING). 35 dieser Pilot-Grundschulen wurden wissenschaftlich begleitet (vgl. Sp{\"o}rer, Schr{\"u}nder-Lenzen, Vock \& Maaz, 2015). In diesem Beitrag berichten wir Befunde zum sozialen Selbstkonzept, wie die Kinder das Klassenklima erleben und wie sie sich von ihrer Lehrkraft angenommen f{\"u}hlen. Untersucht wurden 1.435 Kinder in 61 inklusiven Klassen der Jahrgangsstufen 2 und 3. Es finden sich keine durchg{\"a}ngigen Nachteile bei Selbstkonzept und erlebtem Klassenklima f{\"u}r Kinder mit sonderp{\"a}dagogischem F{\"o}rderbedarf (SPF), jedoch f{\"u}hlen sich diese weniger von ihren Lehrkr{\"a}ften angenommen.},

Vielmehr war es der Mehrzahl der Emigranten nicht m{\"o}glich, mehr als ein paar Kofffer aus ihrem alten Leben in das neue zu retten. Verkauft oder beschlagnahmt, vieles musste zur{\"u}ckbleiben, was {\"u}ber Jahre die Wohnungen und H{\"a}user der deutschen Juden gef{\"u}llt hatte. Das Wenige, was doch mitgenommen werden konnte, hatte somit umso mehr pers{\"o}nlichen Wert f{\"u}r den Besitzer. Was also hatten die deutsch-j{\"u}dischen Emigranten und Exilanten in ihren Kofffern und weshalb waren gerade diese Objekte f{\"u}r sie bedeutend genug, um sie auf den beschwerlichen Weg {\"u}ber den Atlantik und auf einen neuen Kontinent in eine unbekannte Zukunft mitzunehmen?Eine Antwort auf diese Frage k{\"o}nnen die Objekte selbst geben, welche bis heute in den Familien der einstigen Emigranten aufbewahrt und benutzt werden. Sie repr{\"a}sentieren die verlorene Heimat, ein St{\"u}ck Geschichte des Ursprungslandes und der eigenen Familie. Diese Gegenst{\"a}nde sind mehr als nur Gebrauchsobjekte, welche ihren monet{\"a}ren Wert hatten und daher nicht zur{\"u}ckgelassen werden sollten. Es sind vielmehr Tr{\"a}ger von gegebenen und zugeschriebenen Bedeutungen und Erinnerungen an Heimat, die ihnen anhaften und {\"u}ber Generationen hinweg weitergegeben und in ihrem Sym-bolgehalt erg{\"a}nzt und erweitert werden.},

  abstract  = {{\"U}ber kaum ein Thema werden so hitzige Debatten gef{\"u}hrt wie {\"u}ber Geschlechtsidentit{\"a}t. Das Wissen darum, dass Gender sozial konstruiert ist, wird von Anti-Gender Aktivist*innen h{\"a}ufig als ‚Gender-Ideologie' bezeichnet und ruft heftige Gegenreaktionen hervor. Dies gilt nicht nur in Deutschland - sondern l{\"a}nder{\"u}bergreifend. Auff{\"a}llig viele der transnationalen Anti- Gender Mobilisierungen der letzten 20 Jahre finden bezogen auf Bildungseinrichtungen statt. Dieser Beitrag widmet sich der besonderen Rolle der Universit{\"a}t und der Wissenschaft f{\"u}r transnationale Anti-Gender Diskurse. Anhand verschiedener Beispiele zeige ich auf, dass das Verh{\"a}ltnis zwischen Anti-Gender Bewegungen und Wissenschaft gepr{\"a}gt ist von widerspr{\"u}chlichen Dynamiken, von Abgrenzung aber auch Imitation. In ihrem Zusammenspiel wirken beide Dynamiken mobilisierend und tragen zum Erstarken regressiver Rollenbilder und antidemokratischer rechter Bewegungen in der breiteren Gesellschaft bei. Der letzte Teil des Beitrags ruft daher zu mehr Selbstreflexion der wissenschaftlichen Praxis auf Grundlage feministischer und intersektionaler Ans{\"a}tze auf.},

Er gelangte zu dem ern{\"u}chternden Res{\"u}mee: „Der Anspruch, Theater sei die Schule der Nation, - soweit er {\"u}berhaupt noch besteht -, m{\"u}sste aufgegeben werden." (S. 32) In Tudykas Einf{\"u}hrung hieß es bereits: „Eine politisierende Wirkung auf das Publikum wird bestritten." (S. 30) Vor diesem Hintergrund k{\"o}nnte bei Lehrerinnen und Lehrern der Politischen Bildung der Eindruck entstehen, ein Besuch im Theater mit Sch{\"u}lerinnen und Sch{\"u}lern sei didaktisch nicht sinnvoll. Dagegen wird im folgenden Beitrag die Auffassung vertreten, dass ein Theaterbesuch mit den Lernenden durchaus mit Erkenntnisgewinnen, seien sie politisch oder {\"u}ber das Politische hinausweisend, verbunden sein kann.   abstract  = {The exchange between Martin Buber and Franz Rosenzweig on the status of halakha is a well known, but also frustrating fixture in scholarship. For rather than responding to Rosenzweig's critique, Buber seems to retreat in silence, claiming to be "unable to speak" about his position on Jewish Law. Scholars have generally tried to explain Buber's failure to respond on philosophical and biographical grounds. What I propose, by contrast, is to revisit the question of Buber's silence and secrecy from a hermeneutical standpoint, arguing that Buber engaged in a deliberate strategy of concealment that constituted its own form of response. The hermeneutics of silence discloses a call for religious renewal that follows a state of Dialogvergessenheit, but which cannot be made audible. Neither dialogue nor its remembrance can be commanded. While Buber struggles with his Nichtredenk{\"o}nnen, he also stands in a tradition of secretive hermeneutics - the Jewish hermeneutics of sod.},

However, key information such as sociodemographic characteristics of agents are often missing. This paper aims to compare four methods of classifying social attributes from text. Specifically, we are interested in estimating the gender of German social media creators. By using the example of a random sample of 200 YouTube channels, we compare several classification methods, namely (1) a survey among university staff, (2) a name dictionary method with the World Gender Name Dictionary as a reference list, (3) an algorithmic approach using the website gender-api.com, and (4) a Multinomial Na{\"i}ve Bayes (MNB) machine learning technique. These different methods identify gender attributes based on YouTube channel names and descriptions in German but are adaptable to other languages. Our contribution will evaluate the share of identifiable channels, accuracy and meaningfulness of classification, as well as limits and benefits of each approach. We aim to address methodological challenges connected to classifying gender attributes for YouTube channels as well as related to reinforcing stereotypes and ethical implications.},

  abstract  = {The Sino-Japanese War of 1894/95 is usually only briefly mentioned in studies on diplomatic history. Especially the war's impact on Wilhelmine foreign and world policy (Weltpolitik) has been largely neglected. However, the events in East Asia had a profound influence on the political leadership in Berlin. The Wilhelmstrasse's attitude towards the conflict changed rapidly when the course of the war in Northeast Asia made a collapse of the Qing Empire increasingly likely. Afraid of the prospect of being left empty handed in an upcoming scramble for China, German diplomacy got active in early 1895. Driven by a hectic activism which soon should become a dominant feature of Weltpolitik, Berlin concluded an ad-hoc alliance with St. Petersburg and Paris. In April 1895, this unlikely coalition intervened against Tokyo. While the Triple Intervention served primarily Russia's interest to maintain the status quo on the Chinese mainland, Germany aimed at the acquisition of a military and commercial base in Northeast Asia. Driven by public opinion, the naval leadership and the Emperor Wilhelm II., the formerly neutral and reserved German diplomacy changed towards an aggressive and unstable imperialist policy, which ultimately resulted in the acquisition of Qingdao in November 1897.},

  abstract  = {Emulsions constitute one of the most prominent and continuously evolving research areas in Colloid Chemistry, which involves the preparation of mixtures or dispersions of immiscible components in a continuous medium. Besides conventional oil-in-water or water-in-oil emulsions, other emulsions of complex droplet morphologies have recently attracted significant research interests. Especially Janus emulsions, in which each droplet is comprised of two distinct sub-regions, have shown versatile potential applications. One of their advantages is the possibility of compartmentalization, which enables to play with two different chemistries in a single droplet. Though microfluidic methods are conventionally used to prepare Janus emulsions, their industrial applications are largely hindered by low throughput and extensive instrumentations. Recently, it has been discovered that simply one-pot moderate/high energy emulsification is also capable of developing Janus morphology, although their preparation and stabilization remain rather substantially challenging. This cumulative doctoral thesis focuses on the preparation and characterization of 'smart' Janus emulsions, i.e. Janus emulsions with special stimuli-responsive features. One-step moderate/high energy emulsification of olive and silicone oil in an aqueous medium was carried out. Special consideration was devoted to the interfacial tensions among the components to maintain the criteria of forming characteristic droplet architectures, in addition to avoiding multiple emulsion destabilization phenomena like imminent phase separation or even separated droplet formation. A series of investigations were conducted related to the formation of complexes of charged macromolecules and role of them as stabilizers to achieve stable Janus emulsions for a realistic timeframe (more than 3 months). The correlation between the size of the stabilizer particles and the droplet size of emulsion was established. Furthermore, it was observed that Janus emulsion gels with interesting rheological properties can be fabricated in the presence of suitable polyelectrolyte complexes. Janus emulsions that could be influenced by pH, temperature or magnetic field were successfully produced in presence of characteristic stimuli-responsive stabilizers. Afterwards, the effect of these changes was studied by different characterization techniques. The size and morphology could be tuned easily by changing the pH. The incorporation of iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (synthesized separately by a co-precipitation method) to one component of the Janus emulsion was carried out so that the movement and orientation of the complex droplets in aqueous media could be controlled by an external magnetic field. Additionally, temperature-triggered instantaneous reversible breakdown of Janus droplets was also accomplished. The responses of the Janus droplets by the stimuli were well-documented and explained. Another goal of the present contribution was to exploit this special morphological feature of emulsions as a template for producing porous materials. This was demonstrated by the preparation of ultralight magnetic responsive aerogels, utilizing Janus emulsion gels. The produced aerogels also showed the capacity to separate toxic dye from water. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first example of investigation towards batch scale production of Janus emulsion with such special stimuli-responsive properties by a simple bulk emulsification method.},

  abstract  = {The Amazons have a long legacy in literature and the visual arts, extending from antiquity to the present day. Prior scholarship tends to treat the Amazons as hostile 'Other' figures, embodying the antithesis of Greco-Roman cultural norms. Recently, scholars have begun to examine positive portrayals of Amazons in contemporary media, as role models and heroic figures. However, there is a dearth of scholarship examining the Amazons' inherently multifaceted nature, and their subsequent polarised reception in popular media. This article builds upon the large body of scholarship on contemporary Amazon narratives, in which the figures of Wonder Woman and Xena, Warrior Princess dominate scholarly discourse. These 'modern Amazon' figures epitomise the dominant contemporary trend of portraying Amazons as strong female role models and feminist icons. To highlight the complexity of the Amazon image in contemporary media, this article examines the representation of the Amazons in the Supernatural episode 'Slice Girls' (S7 E13, 2012), where their portrayal as hostile, monstrous figures diverges greatly from the positive characterisation of Wonder Woman and Xena. I also consider the show's engagement with ancient written sources, to examine how the writers draw upon the motifs of ancient Amazon narratives when crafting their unique Amazon characters. By contrasting the Amazons of 'Slice Girls' to contemporary figures and ancient narratives, this article examines how factors such as feminist ideology, narrative story arcs, characters'/audience's perspectives and male bias shape the representation of Amazons post-antiquity.},

  abstract  = {לא מעט ביוגרפיות חשובות מרחיבות דעת ומשכילות נכתבו על אודות איש הרוח והפילוסוף מרטין בובר - הוגה עז רושם, שהדי הגותו, אמרותיו וכתביו אוחזים בנו גם היום למעלה מחצי מאה לאחר מותו. יחד עם זאת, כל הביוגרפיות יחדיו, חשובות ומעמיקות כפי שהן, אינן משתוות בעצמתן הספרותית לספרון קצר זה, שניתן לראות בו מעין אוטוביוגרפיה מזוקקת הכתובה בצורה של פרגמנטים קצרים. לא בכדי השווה מוריס פרידמן את העצמה הפואטית-פילוסופית של הפרגמנטים האוטוביוגרפיים שלפנינו אל ספריו של בובר אני ואתה (1923) ודרכו של אדם על פי תורת החסידות (1948). אכן בזכרונות אלו שבובר מעלה טבוע משהו מן הטון של סיפורי החסידות ומן המסר של הפילוסופיה הדיאלוגית. ואולם, בניגוד לשני הספרים הקודמים שהוזכרו, פגישות לא נכתב כספר אלא הפך לספר בדיעבד. זוהי למעשה אסופה של זכרונות קצרים ומלאי תובנה שנכתבו ופורסמו בזמנים שונים וראו אור לראשונה כיחידה אחת באסופת המאמרים אודות הפילוסופיה של מרטין בובר (1967), בעריכתם של ארתור שליפ ומוריס פרידמן. מוריס פרידמן מעיד שהיה שותף לבחירה, סידור ולעריכה של הפרגמנטים שלפנינו יחד עם בובר, ובעוד שחלק מהפרגמנטים פורסמו בתקופות מוקדמות יותר, חלקם נכתבו לכבוד האסופה. פרידמן אף מדגיש את ערכם המעשי של סיפורי פגישות אלה בדינמיקות קבוצתיות ובסמינרים ואת כוחם לעורר בקורא זיכרונות וחוויית אישיים.},

  abstract  = {The relaxation processes in the high impact polystyrene (HIPS) films filled with 2, 4, 6 vol.\% of titanium dioxide (TiO2) of the rutile modification have been studied using the thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) technique. Three relaxation processes were observed in the composite HIPS films. The first one (a-relaxation peak) appeared at about 93 degrees C and represented the glass transition. The second peak p was a high-temperature part of the first one and overlapped it. The p peak was caused by the release and subsequent motion of excess charges deposited during the electret preparation or the polarization process. The third peak appeared at about 150 degrees C and occurred only in the spectra of the composite films. The overlapping peaks were separated by the thermal cleaning technique. The subsequent application of the numerical methods (the Tikhonov regularization technique) allowed to determine the activation energy of the second process and to compare the obtained value with the corresponding data on the dielectric relaxation.},

  abstract  = {The author stems from the premise that modern anthroponymy effectively incorporates data from related fields of knowledge, primarily those of cultural and political history, thus getting enlarged through interdisciplinary research. An integrated approach allows one to deduce the extra-linguistic mechanisms which lay behind anthroponymic changes. In the same vein, the present paper focuses on the dynamics within the Russian anthroponymic paradigm caused by the changing vectors of political, ideological, cultural, and religious identity in the historical perspective of the New Time (1700-1920s). The study aims to establish the connection between specific trends in naming and the precedent names, events, and texts of political, cultural, and religious life. The mechanisms of anthroponymic shifts are illustrated by the cases of individual names becoming socially significant in a particular historical context. Using interdisciplinary methods of cultural anthropology, the study builds on textual sources, primarily name indexes to the collections of works by outstanding cultural figures and scholars, and biographical dictionaries. Some examples of pragmatic naming strategies in works of art (literature, opera, cinema) are also provided. Preliminary findings reveal some major trends in the Russian anthroponymic system of the New Age such as Europeization vs. Russification, modernization vs. archaization, as well as their synthesis. These tendencies remain key up to the present day and can be traced and characteristically defined within a set (or corpus) of names relating to the particular epoch, in terms of their frequency and the parameters of the sociolinguistic distribution. The diachronic perspective of the study also supports the sociolinguistic observation that the newly introduced names, which are currently in use, have a pronounced social resonance, which is getting neutralized as their frequency increases. Further development of the topic implies, among other things, statistical verification of preliminary findings.},

  abstract  = {Negative consequences of the actions of medical professionals have always been subject to controversial assessment from the legal standpoint. There were periods in Russian history when doctors were prosecuted even without establishing their guilt first, and the periods when doctors were not held responsible at all for the violations that they committed. Currently, medical and pharmaceutical work is a complicated process of performing professional functions connected with the observance of established standards and requirements of its organization. Most medical tests and manipulations of prevention, research, diagnostic, treatment or rehabilitation character are regulated by formal protocols which could, in some cases, prevent a qualified doctor from saving a patient's life and in others - inflict forced harm on their health. Both of these situations require a legal assessment of the actions, the mechanism of which has not yet been fully determined. This circumstance could lead to a criminal prosecution of a medical professional whose fault is absent (or nonobvious). On the other hand, a structurally complex professional activity, for which there are no recognized methods of legal assessment, creates preconditions for various violations and abuses on the part of medical professionals. Changing relationships between a doctor and a patient, as well as the commercialization of modern medical practices have made the healthcare system one of the most delicto- and even criminally-oriented. <br /> These factors act as causes for the growing complexity of legislation (in the wide sense of the word) on criminal liability of medical professionals and the controversial law enforcement practice which, in its turn, leads to the interest of researchers in these problems. The results of such research often remain unconnected with other achievements of the criminal law science; due to this, it is necessary to study the development of law, including the practice of law enforcement and the doctrine, on criminal liability of medical professionals - medical criminal law. Taking into consideration that such a sub-branch of law is not traditional for Russian science, the authors present the results of researching the development of medical criminal law not only in Russia, but also in Germany, where this sphere of law has long been established as independent.},

  abstract  = {Research has characterized Nadezhda Teffi as the female Chekhov.1 However, connections can also be found between her work and that of Ivan S. Turgenev. In particular the one-act plays (Conversation on a Highroad; 1851) and (The Woman Question; 1907) are suitable for comparison. Not only does my comparison consider the gender conflict between man and woman, but also a dialectic method which Teffi may have discovered in Turgenev's work and elaborated further. The dialectical considerations are connected with different comic approaches: the psychological comedy of the realist Turgenev in the middle of the 19th century and the mechanical comedy of the utopian Teffi at the start of the 20th century. Its mechanical comicality shows that relates to an international debate, in which Paul Julius Mobius' essay 'Uber den physiologischen Schwachsinn des Weibes' ('On the Physiological Idiocy of the Female'; 1900) may well have played an unfavourable role.},

  abstract  = {Aim and material: In the present study, the data of the rating study presented earlier, where participants estimated the position of an object or phenomenon in vertical space by using the seven-point Likert scale, are used in order to systematically describe spatial information included in language units of different semantic categories. Background: The role of spatial semantics in language understanding is assumed by modern cognition theories and confirmed in experimental studies. Hypotheses: Based on conceptual metaphor theory, a number of hypotheses are proposed in the present study: different semantic categories of nouns (e.g., tools vs. animals vs. emotions etc.) should significantly differ in their spatial semantics as well; different semantic categories of abstract nouns (e.g., mental states vs. emotions vs. physical sensations) should also differ in their spatial semantics, as the latter is included in their conceptual structure; mental states and phenomena (e.g., imagination, thought or memory) should have higher values (i.e., be located higher in the virtual subjective space) than any other abstract concepts; emotional concepts (e.g., love, disgust or happiness) should be located higher than physical sensations (e.g., pain or softness); positive emotions (like joy or euphoria) should be located higher than negative ones (like feeling of guilt or disappointment). Methods: Statistical methods (parametric and non-parametric ones) are used in order to test the hypotheses. As additional cross-testing methods corpora data and expert assessment are included. Results: The results of the study confirmed all the hypotheses. A number of additional regularities were revealed: in general, abstract concepts get higher values on a scale, i.e., are located higher in the virtual subjective space than concrete ones; tool concepts are related more to the lower space, unlike sound concepts that are related to higher space. No difference was found between action concepts (like attack or running) and physical sensations. Discussion: The results obtained can also be explained in terms of other theories within the embodied cognition framework, as it is discussed in the conclusion (words as social tools by A. Borghi and F. Binkofski; ideas by G. Vigliocco and neurosemantic approach by F. Pulvermuller). The need in an integrative model and larger studies with other semantic categories is underlined.},

Как настоящий кочевник, он не стремился завоевать или разрушить территорию знания. И потому неудивительно, что он стал одним из основоположников экологического и гео-экологического мышления. Гумбольдт публиковал работы на немецком и французском языках. В своих «Американских дневниках», которые были возвращены в Берлин в ноябре 2013 г., но до сих пор не изучены, Гумбольдт постоянно пере­ходит с немецкого на французский, с латинского на испанский.   abstract  = {This paper attempts to account for the syntactic distribution of the particle sey in Turkish, in particular its suffixed variant which is a placeholder for expressions that have to be inserted into the discourse later. The paper argues that the distribution of suffixed sey is determined by constituent structure, meaning that Bey can only substitute for syntactic constituents. Thus, sey acts as a pro-form, similar, for instance, to pronouns substituting for noun phrases. This has two implications: First, as sey is a quasi-universal pro-form with the ability to substitute for a wide range of constituents, sey-substitution can be used as a constituency test to peek into the constituent structure of virtually any major syntactic domain. Second, the overall sey-substitution pattern across different syntactic domains constitutes evidence for Kayne's binary branching hypothesis.},

Insofern sollen vor allem die Hinweise in der Einf{\"u}hrung dieses ersten Bandes als Orientierungshilfe n{\"u}tzlich sein. Bitte verzagen Sie nicht! Auch wenn Ihnen anfangs alles verwirrend, unstrukturiert und damit kaum verst{\"a}ndlich erscheint. Glauben Sie mir, es gibt kaum etwas, was so viel Struktur und innere Logik enth{\"a}lt, wie das Recht. Sie m{\"u}ssen nur den Willen haben, diese Strukturen zu erkennen und zu begreifen. Ein wichtiger Schritt dazu sollte Ihr fester Plan sein, sich an den angebotenen Vorlesungen und {\"U}bungen regelm{\"a}ßig aktiv zu beteiligen. Niemandem ist es bisher jemals gelungen, ohne professionelle Anleitung und Unterst{\"u}tzung das Recht quasi im „Alleingang" zu begreifen. Auch wenn es manchmal schwer f{\"a}llt, halten Sie sich an diese Studienregel.
