Quaternary Science Reviews 215 (Ben Dor et al., 2019): 173-184. by R. Bookman, two recently published papers are suggested to prove that the interpretation of the laminated sedimentary sequence of the Dead Sea, deposited mostly during MIS2 and Holocene pluvials, as annual deposits (i.e., varves) is wrong. In the following response, we delineate several lines of evidence which coalesce to demonstrate that based on the vast majority of evidence, including some of the evidence provided in the comment itself, the interpretation of these sediments as varves is the more likely scientific conclusion. We further discuss the evidence brought up in the comment and its irrelevance and lack of robustness for addressing the question under discussion.}, language = {en} } @misc{HoelzleBoerBjoerk2020, author = {H{\"o}lzle, Katharina and Boer, Harry and Bj{\"o}rk, Jennie}, title = {Crisis management through creativity and innovation}, series = {Creativity and innovation management}, volume = {29}, journal = {Creativity and innovation management}, number = {2}, publisher = {Wiley-Blackwell}, address = {Oxford [u.a.]}, issn = {0963-1690}, doi = {10.1111/caim.12385}, pages = {195 -- 197}, year = {2020}, language = {en} } @misc{DebreDijkstra2021, author = {Debre, Maria Josepha and Dijkstra, Hylke}, title = {Immune to COVID?}, publisher = {London School of Economics and Political Science}, address = {London}, year = {2021}, language = {en} } @misc{OPUS4-63119, title = {Discursive Constructions of Corruption in Ancient Rome}, series = {Cultural History}, volume = {13}, journal = {Cultural History}, number = {1}, editor = {Carl{\`a}-Uhink, Filippo and Garc{\´i}a Morcillo, Marta}, publisher = {Edinburgh University Press}, address = {Edinburgh}, issn = {2045-290X}, doi = {10.3366/cult.2024.0293}, year = {2024}, language = {en} } @misc{PaoliMoroLorenzettietal.2020, author = {Paoli, Antonio and Moro, Tatiana and Lorenzetti, Silvio and Seiler, Jan and L{\"u}thy, Fabian and Gross, Micah and Roggio, Federico and Chaabene, Helmi and Musumeci, Giuseppe}, title = {The "Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology" Journal Club Series}, series = {Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology}, volume = {5}, journal = {Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology}, number = {2}, publisher = {MDPI}, address = {Basel}, issn = {2411-5142}, doi = {10.3390/jfmk5020025}, pages = {1 -- 9}, year = {2020}, abstract = {We are glad to introduce the Second Journal Club of Volume Five, Second Issue.
